    Excuse me, what? Players are supposed to automaticly get gear now? There should be other ways to get the gear, this is just a different playstyle.

    And, in Kingdom of Sky they fixed this issue by having each island being separate things. Quests were on the main and some of the side island: Dungeon Islands were separate from quests. They also later gave contested zones a bonus, and each creature was worth 30% of a quest for experience even though they were harder to kill. Making dungeons a viable alternative to dungeons and fates. Except it has bonus experience for being contested.

    You need to think about what you say a bit: It CAN be done, and its popular. LOOK at EQ1's progression server!

    Gear should be something players should work towards, its not something they should just: "Automaticly Receive"
