Sunako beat me to it, but yes, the interpreter's interpretation was slightly off.

Looking at the long-term, instead of adding more pets, we felt it better to give more use to the job by adding actions to summoner.

Make the current Egi's better > get more of the average in 1-2 more summons......

This is what I would like to think many people, including myself, wanted, but we're NOT getting this sort of change.
