Well based on how the Odin quest ended I think we know of one that would be pretty easy to tie in...That's a good point. The apparent Shiva/Ramuh/Leviathan Egis might end up being "Trances" instead. We already know we're getting a Dreadwyrm Trance, or other primal infuses in the future?so maybe we'll also get a Phoenix Trance as Lousoix did say we could call for him when in dire need at the end of T12
Tokyo FATE in Mar 2014 - "I enjoy playing summoner as my main job, but when it comes to end game content, it's all Garuda-Egi with no opportunity to use Ifrit or Titan. That's pretty disappointing, and I'd like for Ifrit and Titan avatars to also play active roles in party content.
Y: Earlier I talked about Black Mage from my own point of view, but I've also seen that Garuda was always used on summoner. Originally we intended for each avatar to play a different role depending on the content and party setup. Since Garuda has the highest DPS, Garuda is used in the most content, so I think that's the main issue. If we made the other avatars stronger, then Summoner would be stronger overall, and if we made Garuda weaker to compensate for powering up the others, then the reverse could be true, so we are carefully considering what to do. It's a cute summon, but in the future you'll be able to summon a certain old man and a sister clothed in ice who's also quite cute. Although actually I wish I could copy the Mammet with the Mirage Prism."
--Are those summons coming next, or will Leviathan?
Y: Leviathan, hmm... I'm not sure whether Ramuh or Leviathan will come first (laughs). I think it'll happen when the level cap is raised, so I really can't say yet.
And FYI, devs never promised anything but they did say they are and now they say they aren't.
They straight up said no new egi and people are upset because they expect new pets for a pet job. Keep Bahamut's Breath and just give me Bahamut otherwise I might as well be playing Blue Mage.If I remember correctly, Yoshi said that we wouldn't get a new Egi until after the level cap was raised. We may be at the point the cap is being raised, but that just means that it could happen in any future expansion after this point. I really don't understand the whining people are doing over this. Akh Morn will be fantastic.

If we beat him, it's not outside the realm of possibility that we can summon him. That's how Summoner works. Beat a Primal, make him your minion to do with as you please. If that means making them use Akh Morn on your enemies, so be it.
Hopefully it'll be a part of the HW SMN job story to help fully explain it. Maybe with a little help from Lady Iceheart (as someone else has mentioned somewhere), as she was able to channel the power of Shiva in a similar fashion. As Bahamut is maybe a little.... overwheming, we would have to drastically limit the amount of Bahamut Aether we take in, or risk becoming the next dreadwyrm incarnate.
Just a random late night guess.![]()
Thinking too small. I'm saying if Summoners have the power to restrain power of an Elder Primal, then they should be able to do MORE with what they are already have. But that's just my opinion though. Makes sense from a story point.
I just remembered, the arts of arcanima were said to originate from south seas, including Meracydia. So it's possible that Bahamut is much more directly linked to the origins of the SMN job (and by extension, arcanist and scholar). If that is indeed their direction, then it makes a lot of sense given Bahamut's role in previous Final Fantasy titles.
That's the thing though, the Devs have already said that the difference between a Primal and an Elder Primal isn't power levels, but the length of their worship. Bahamut and Odin are only Elder Primals because their worship has been going on for 3 or 4 Astral Eras, as opposed to the current Primals, who are at most 2 Astral Eras old.
Well I for once am glad that the developers realized that adding more pets is "POINTLESS" other the than just looking different, they mention that they will add different pets later just for "glamor".
WHY, add more pets when you will only use ONE pet......yes, you will only use ONE pet.
The dev's. could of added liaviathan, Shiva, Ramuh,,,,,New primal, bahamut....and 5 more new pets.....in the end you will only use "ONE" pet. maybe two at the most.
you will not be pet dancing on the middle of a fight, you will have ONE pet only and continue your summoner rotation.
Please tell me why you are not using Ifrit and titan now?....same thing will happen if 1000 more pets are added, u will use ONE pet only, all the dev. time/animation for every pet is such a waste when in the end it comes down to using just one.
If their power comes from both the Crystals and Worship, then the longer something has been worshiped, will it not have more power? Then you also have to really ask yourself...How is it Bahamut can render Eorzea to rubble on his own where Ifrit/Garuda, etc. can hardly do anything to their own land? Is this also not a sign of power difference? That's the thing though, the Devs have already said that the difference between a Primal and an Elder Primal isn't power levels, but the length of their worship. Bahamut and Odin are only Elder Primals because their worship has been going on for 3 or 4 Astral Eras, as opposed to the current Primals, who are at most 2 Astral Eras old.
