No different than summoning any other primal, IMO. It's still not the full size primal.

But calling the powers of an Elder Primal? Don't you think Summoners have more power than what the Lore is implying? Or am I just assuming too much?

If we beat him, it's not outside the realm of possibility that we can summon him. That's how Summoner works. Beat a Primal, make him your minion to do with as you please. If that means making them use Akh Morn on your enemies, so be it.

Thinking too small. I'm saying if Summoners have the power to restrain power of an Elder Primal, then they should be able to do MORE with what they are already have. But that's just my opinion though. Makes sense from a story point.

That's the thing though, the Devs have already said that the difference between a Primal and an Elder Primal isn't power levels, but the length of their worship. Bahamut and Odin are only Elder Primals because their worship has been going on for 3 or 4 Astral Eras, as opposed to the current Primals, who are at most 2 Astral Eras old.

If their power comes from both the Crystals and Worship, then the longer something has been worshiped, will it not have more power? Then you also have to really ask yourself...How is it Bahamut can render Eorzea to rubble on his own where Ifrit/Garuda, etc. can hardly do anything to their own land? Is this also not a sign of power difference?

I just remembered, the arts of arcanima were said to originate from south seas, including Meracydia. So it's possible that Bahamut is much more directly linked to the origins of the SMN job (and by extension, arcanist and scholar). If that is indeed their direction, then it makes a lot of sense given Bahamut's role in previous Final Fantasy titles.
