MCH & AST cross class ???

So they announced the obvious DRK will have pld and mrd cross class skills but could we get an official word on MCH and AST cross classes? I'm not like the get em all to 50 type person and don't level things i don't play but i do plan on going MCH and would like to try and get those skills outta the way before hand. thank you!

AST almost 100% gonna be THM + CNJ. THM for Swiftcast, CNJ for Protect/Stoneskin.

MCH, it could be a bunch of things. Probably just LNC/PUG though.

EDIT: And I think I just lost my money, because Zamii here reminded me about Invigorate.

THM/CNJ for AST. CNJ is already confirmed(look up what they said about Protect in heavensward) and swiftcast is essential for raising. Unless they get their own swiftcast mechanic in some way, but given that AST already gets its own bag of support tricks, I don't think giving them ACN's bag of tricks would make sense.

AST is for sure getting CNJ because they mentioned cross classing protect in the live letter.
as for the second cross class i actually see it being arcanist, a healer without swiftcast, that would allow it to cross into both the healer classes, as the DRK is doing with both tank classes.

as for MCH, its probably going to be archer and lancer, archer because, well its the only other range physical dps class, and assuming MCH uses dex then it will also be the only class capable of making use out of hawks eye as a cross class.
Lancer because invigorate is just to strong to use anything else, and i don't foresee SE giving MCH their own version of it, of course i could be wrong.

I'm assuming AST is going to be ACN + CNJ. THM + CNJ is the same as SCH which would be kind of... meh. I believe AST will have its own Swiftcast-esque spell.

I'm guessing archer and rogue for machinist, conjurer and arcanist for astrologian. I'm hoping that they throw a monkey wrench in things and add a 3rd cross class/job for everyone.

I'll find it funny if it ends up being Archer/Rogue, just cause all Dex.

Also just something I'm thinking about, though I don't think it'll happen, but there is the possibility of having three classes to choose from for crossclass, since we are getting new jobs (Old classes/jobs would get a third added to them, new jobs just auto-start with all three news ones chosable from.)

Yes please. WHM have like... 3 cross class abilities that are even worth anything. Surecast, Blizzard II, Physick, and Ruin are all pretty terrible for a WHM. Surecast can see some use. That's still only four though.

They should just ditch limiting the classes itself, and instead limit the spells so we can potentially look to take skills from 5 different classes.

If a skill proves to be too good, they can always be taken away on an individual basis.
