    But hey! Shiny beam of light thats a 1 second animation, that makes EVERYTHING ELSE INFERIOR, all hail the moonfire master race. I can see it now, people must be lining up by the numbers to become Summoners, this super amazing ability who needs anything else

    Also the Bane thing would not be OP, has anyone here actually played a BLM and used Fire 2 then double flare? you tell me whats op after that

    I actually doubt that people relating ahk morn to moonfire have felt ahk morn's power in t13.

    That's easy. Ahk Morn was something new for Bahamut specifically for this game. If you've fought against him, you know it's a crazy light show of doom and honestly it's pretty bad ass. If you've tanked it, it's a lot of 'oh shit' moments back to back. If we can get any of that experience and turn it onto our enemies, it will wreck face. The various 'Flares' are cool and are possibly included in SMN somewhere, but honestly I think the dev team did a great job designing Ahk Morn and I think it's the right choice to add to SMN for this game. BLM already has Flare, I don't personally want to have an ability that can be compared to Flare because someone will get hurt feelings and honestly that means both jobs lose.

    Funny thing about this is when watching the video...Even though it LOOKS like Ahk Morn, it doesn't FEEL like Ahk Morn. This is something I'm hardly pleased with and I don't get why others are. To me it's just an empty replica of white light.

    Yup, I think that's the 'Flare' line of spells are pretty much reserved for BLM at this point. Giving Mega/Tera/Whatever-Flare to SMN would be too much of a blurring between the two jobs. If any more Flares make it into the game as job skills, they'll be given to BLM.

    This way we're more unique with regards to the other jobs (except SCH which we share our base class with ofc).

    I'm not really bummed about it. I know we're called Summoner, but I just don't think adding new egis will really do much for us. As to them "promising" new egis, their attitudes and ideas just change over time so it's really just wiser to take it with a "Believe it when I see it." attitude. I'm really just going to save my pitchfork for the 3.0 patchnotes, when we can get a list of what's really gonna happen.


    As for Bahamut, I kind of like the fact that Elder Primals do something entirely different to the Summoner than your normal primal. Wonder how that's going to be explained though, can't help but think it'll involve that dungeon that looked like it belonged in FCoB.

    Just to let you know, there has been a cry from people they wanted to see caster LB 3 animation to be reduced as the flash pretty much takes over the screen, though I personally can manage just fine, so having more flashy spells is a no go, especially on titan type fights, I had complaints thrown at me using LB 3 on Titan ex though it was nicely timed :P.

    Having huge pets running around at end game, what do you want to do, cover the whole boss up?, this is a nightmare for tanks and those in melee, ones at range, depending on mechanics and the size of the room this will wreck havoc for the telegraphed skills from bosses.

    Double flare has a CD and can only be used once every now and then, bane can be used upto 6 times, thats constant dots up and is far more efficient then fire 2 + flare over targets that have high health.
