Good to know you actually looked through the 38 pages and didn't just assume everyone was complaining.(obviously you didn't)
Ahem let me quote you on this.

There's a difference between being difficult and being impractical.
Removing Heavy Thrust's flank requirement for the buff didn't lower the class' skill cap. You still need to hit the flank with it as often as possible in order to do what would be considered good DPS. The only difference is fault tolerance; your DPS won't tank as hard if you happen to miss the target's flank due to variables outside of your control.

The whole misdirect thing is pretty cool, i agree. It lines up quite well with the stealthy fighter paradigm that NIN is supposed to be but i feel has been under-emphasized thus far in game.

When do I get Rasengan and Kage Bunshin.
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
So is anyone else a bit concerned about the Skill Speed changes? I imagine it'll be much better than Critical Hit Rate after 3.0, but it still has the whole issue of TP management attached to it for Ninja. Seems like it'll mostly be a significant boon for Monks (maybe Dragoons?), meanwhile Ninja will be stuck treating Skill Speed the same way Monks currently do.
I so wish I could Goad myself...

Hassle your bards for Moar TP ballad. They don't cast it enough nowadays. Maybe Skill Speed will change their mind!So is anyone else a bit concerned about the Skill Speed changes? Can't really see that happening, between Wanderer's Minuet being added and Mage's Ballad/Foe Requiem just flat out being superior Songs. Bard really needs a mechanic to recover MP... Would go a long ways towards making Songs more useful, rather than having a "Healer might need Ballad" mentality that just results in them sitting on MP...
Bards' another Job that doesn't really get anything out of the Skill Speed changes, actually. OK they have Army's Paeon to offset the added TP drain, but I really doubt they'd eat that damage reduction for slightly stronger DoTs/faster rotation... Kind of wish Army's Paeon was changed to an instant cast song like the PvP Manasong... That would be useful, a party wide Invigorate/Goad which costs not-all of their MP...

nobody complains about ninja anymore after release. see? nothing is bad for us at all and I bet everybody loves Armor Crush.
Paeon ( tp song )is bards most important song in raids xd ESPECIALLY now that tank dps is so insane and they run out fast , pld runs out in under 3 mins. Mp song is situational, rarely see uniformity to the casting of it. I remember our whm asking for it going into final phase of t11 but after a few tries he didn't need it anymore. paeon will happen all the time don't worry about that. Probably isn't very common amongst scruby-pugs coz "muh deeps" tho.
Honestly, the new skills are pretty good. Armor Crush and Duality (despite the confusing description) are amazing as far as DPS goes, Shadewalker is amazing as far as utility goes. If I was to be upset about anything (and I am) it is Perfect Dodge, I loved that little skill... "Landslide? Lawl, Perfect Dodge", "Iron Chariot? Lawl, Perfect Dodge", "Divebombs? Lawl, Perfect Dodge". RIP Perfect Dodge, you will be missed... Y_Y
Other than that, Dream within a Dream just seems to be missing something... For a Lv60 ability is is very lackluster, it needs an additional effect I think... The extra damage is nice, of course, but every time I look at it I just end up thinking; That's it? It's just a 300 potency ability? "just a 300 potency ability" lol, that's very nice, it's just kinda boring for your final skill. Doesn't help when I look at things like Deathflare and Carve and Spit, or even Royal Authority.
My god though, Shadewalker is probably my -and my Tanks -new favorite toy. I imagine I'll start really liking Duality and Dream within a Dream come Lv60 Frontlines though, that's going to be some insane burst...
Well, in dungeons where I don't have a Bard, I'm already noticing a increase in TP drain. Whether that is Skill Speeds fault, mobs having more HP, or less GCD time "wasted" on Mudra (since Armor Crush removes the need for reapplying Huton), I'm not sure yet, but it's noticeable and probably a combination of all three. Any situation where I can't get Paeon I feel I'm going to end up hurting for TP in the long run. For now I think I'll just avoid the stat somewhat and hope the increase from DoT potency isn't too great.
Really would have loved to have had an additional source of TP on Ninja, like Monk got with Purification... Wait... Hey, SE, slap "Critical Hits restore TP" on Dream within a Dream and I'll f*ckin' love you.
