The whole misdirect thing is pretty cool, i agree. It lines up quite well with the stealthy fighter paradigm that NIN is supposed to be but i feel has been under-emphasized thus far in game.

the core mechanic of the ninja is the free fight plus ninjutsu, the jobs was make around this... you don't have cycle definite like for the monk or dragon, is based on a priority and the use of the mudra.

And the ninja already has positionals so there is that...

I'm pretty sure the positional is applied to the Huton refresh move which will be added onto the end of the gust slash combo. If this is it then it's hardly game breaking. The job could use a bit more complexity to be honest. I haven't seen any info about them retroactively adding positionals to previous moves so unless someone can source such a thing I'd say it's rumor and a baseless concern at best.

Thank you for the link tho. Very informative.

I'm not sure that implies old moves, it's vague at best. I still think 30+ pages of whining about speculation to be a little much. Either way positional aren't that big of a deal. Just another thing to separate the mediocre ninjas from the good ones (aside from the usual 200 dps gap and the people who doton single targets.)

Also just want to add that I'm actually very happy about an enmity reduction move. I can't tell you how many times I've tanked the dragons in the large raids or stolen aggro from a well geared tank only to have to literally stop dpsing so they could get it back. Typically I just move over to the tank spot when I steal it and perfect dodge and pray that he grabs it off soon and my Second wind can sustain me for a bit. Is it necessary? ehh maybe not but neither are seat belts. They are a fail safe. Mistakes happen, things go wrong, this allows an extra chance to counter that on the fly. I really like the changes and additions I've heard of. The huton refresh is a huge dps increase in theory and the weapon skill buff and triple attack sound awesome. If a couple positionals are the price to pay for that it doesn't bother me. So long as they aren't as strict as the pre buff DRG positionals it will be all good.
Why do people hate gameplay so much?
I actually miss the old strict positionals of DRG. Do people like dumbing down the game?
