I don't know if this has been discussed, but has anyone noticed that most of the Miqo'te seem to have strong sexual apettites?

From the girls on the Miners Guild, to the lady at the starter instance area in Ul'dah, also, If you choose a female Miqo'te as your partener for the story quest, she talks in a very coquettish manner and even in the quest where you have to rescue the Sylph babies, she makes strong suggestions that she got some info from a guy she sleeped with. o.O

Miqo'te retainers seem to have the same "cheerful" way of talking, I don't know... maybe I'm crazy or something but has anyone else noticed this?

For the real life references section, there's an NPC in Ul'dah at around 7,4 (head out the western door of the Adventurer's Guild). When you talk to him, what he says is a reference to the ending of the music video of the Radiohead song "Just".

EDIT: The character's name is Drew, and he's a little further down the way from the Adventurer's Guild than 7,4. He's half hidden behind some boxes.

This may not be a 100% accurate quote, but it's something like:
"You want to know why I'm sitting here? Yes I'll tell you, I'll tell you why I'm sitting here. But gods forgive me, and gods help us all, because you don't know what you ask of me. <mumble>"

The video, in case you haven't seen it, involves a guy laying on the street, and as the video progresses a crowd gathers and demands to know why he's laying there even though he's perfectly healthy and does not want any help. At the end of the video, he says that (except replace the word "sitting" with "laying", and singlularize "gods"), and the last shot is everyone in the crowd laying in the street along with him.

I did notice this with my Miqo'te retainer:

Appears - "I was just thinking of you"
Dissapears - "You don't want to be with me anymore *sniffles*"

And let's not forget their emotes.

I think miqo'te were somewhat aimed at the anime fan-base that likes sexy/cute cat-girls. If that was their intention, they caught me hook, line and sink'er.

I think a lot of their personalities have been done that way to go with the stereotypical anime neko, as they usually tend to be more lewd and suggestive, or just cute and lovable.

Oh! Don't know if someone has mentioned this before, but according to my Linkshell leader there's an NPC in Ul'dah somewhere that comments something like: "There sure have been a lot of Sephiroths around of late"

Next time I log on I'll try and find him so as to give more detailed information.

Hoodwinked:

Makes repeated references to the tale of little red riding hood. A blonde Lalafell was attacked by a Dire Wolf whilst on her way to deliver a red riding hood, a family heirloom. She gives it to the player who must then take it to Ul'dah to repair it.
Hoodwinked also refers to the Disney Pixar film of the same name that parodies the tale of Little Red Riding Hood.

The Rank 36 Miner's Quest talks about Sil'dih, an ancient city that's been abandoned and now lies in ruins (likely to the South of Uldah). It was apparently so average and unremarkable that it's largely been forgotten. Link to the Zam entry on this quest.

**Edit -- Maybe I should also mention that this quest line seems to involve an arranged marriage in a family of lals? Not sure whether that's typical, or even that it's definitely what's happening. (SPOILER ALERT -- The marriage apparently doesn't end up happening.)
