Ixal with wings in the new dungeon preview!

It could be just me but listen to these tracks.
Flightless Wings Ixal Theme
Ixal Beast Tribe Theme
New Dungeon Theme

Some parts of the dungeon music sound a bit similar to the Ixal Theme, especially around 5:02->5:22 Almost like a Techno remix of it

I hadn't picked up on this. It's very subtle but yes, there's a distinct similarity in those specific parts. I wonder if the Ixal may actually be central to the story behind that dungeon rather than just a passing lore reference... Is it possible the lab is the place they call Ayatlan?

The winged "Ixal" in The Fractal Continuum seem to be the missing link.

Speculation time, I highly doubt the Allagan would name them the Ixal, so Iksalion might be their true name.
The ability to be amazing craters might come from ancient allagans breeding the Iksalion to perform maintenance on Allagan devices.

Also they noticed genetic instabilities, this might explain the Ixal Myth of them losing their wings, or maybe the Ixal themselves are the defect, having arms instead of wings like the Iksalion.
