I highly doubt the dev's would release a brand new over-hyped ability only to have it thrown in the trashbin along with the old tri-disaster.

To be fair, the arguments are pretty solid. There would need to be a very significant bonus to damage to make up for everything you're losing to get it. Lest we forget that these are the same devs that removed Thunder from cross-classing and then heavily nerfed Blizzard II. So it's not like every change they make is for the better.

I'll hold off on condemnation until I see some DPS results, but given the heavy restrictions placed upon it I can't imagine it getting much use.
