Maybe they should just rename the job to 'Channelers' or something.

I agree that Summoner got some amazing stuff, but unfortunately the whole image people have of the job, based on the entire franchise, is being able to summon a variety of cool looking things. It's not much of a Summoner if it's not acquiring more Summons, regardless of how useless said Summons may be. So I do kinda feel bad for the Summoners.
