Pet glamour, what a total waste of time. I'm not happy with what I've seen, It's like they taken too much on board from a certain forumite that constantly screams for SMN to be revamped.. Bahamut possession.. peh!

so are you all telling me you would rather have a new summon, which will inevitably make one more skill useless, as opposed to a skill that will make the class stronger as a whole and actually put summoners back in end game? yoshi even said it himself in the live letter that getting a new summon would be a bad idea due to the lack if usable skills available to summoner, in order to keep balance between the classes adding a new summon would be going in the opposite direction.

Exactly, they simply chose to prioritize fixing the core job rotation. New Egi will come eventually most likely via this mentioned glamour system. I mean come on guys, it's not like Yoshi is sitting in a board room somewhere with his team, thinking "ok guys who can we piss off this time"...These decisions were made for a reason and if you have any knowledge of actual games development you will understand exactly why they did this.

It's funny because sadly it's true. I hate to say it but finally seeing the job ability reveal has let a lot of air out of the Heavensward hype balloon. I still need to preorder but I seem to just shrug my shoulders and say I"ll do it later....

What it boils down to is many of us are tired of looking at the same summon all the time. But what really is disheartening is that the egi's are like vague representations of the primal. They barely look like the primal, save the titan egi. He is at least somewhat similar.

The glamour skin for pets is something that would help a lot of the negative feelings summoners are having, and the vague promise of it doesn't help. Is it in the major patch after expansion launch? Next expansion? The expansion after that?

I'm glad they worked on pets. I've optimized my damage output quite well, and the pets felt lackluster. But if they spent so much time on the current summons, they could have at least made them look more visually appealing. The blocky, sharp angles aren't accurate. Ifrit doesn't have a beak, and Garuda technically doesn't either. And if you look closely at her wings, it's like they painted feathers over pterodactyl wings.

Boycott the game. SE clearly just rushed summoner again. Betcha the only reason summoner was put in was to shut the fanboys up with something.
