And additions would be adding another stone, an AoE DoT and an AoE spell that heals? Yoshi pls D:
Although I'm quite happy with Asylum (I think they called it that), but even that is pending on how effective/practical it really is
Well, Asylum does sound cool, but I do hope it won't end up being a stationary Medica II. I feel that White Mages are kind of hard to add new healing spells to, considering how well we cover most situations with our current toolkit. :/
SE is pretty good about balance, though. PoM got buffed. loltridisaster is getting reworked in HW. If Asylum ends up being something even top end players don't use, I do think SE would address it.
Like sacred soil, it could be a pretty good "stack here people!" visual indicator as well as providing heals on top of that (and stacking for raid damage is a thing in many fights). Perhaps not essential but it sounds like a tool I want to have.
Really sad how much they glossed over stuff for timeWas hoping for more clarification on AST, most of what they said was stuff we already knew but with a slight bit more clarification on it :/
I really don't know how I feel about sacking my fairy.... Though the regen field for WHM seems darned awesome. Mad about Proshell trait too..... IMO that was one of the reasons WHM was awesome. WHM brought the more passive mitigation in protect and sch brought more active mitigation in buffs.
The buffs for AST being random is what will keep them from being ridiculously OP, unreliable to pull out the buff you need at the right time probably.
We gotta get another trait, so maybe it'll be dope as hell.
It sounded like this was done in consideration of AST, who will also be getting proshell. So, AST+SCH won't miss out.I really don't know how I feel about sacking my fairy.... But on the positive side, I'm really happy about the Lustrate-equivalent WHM will be getting. It will really help the job emergency heal better, or combine with a GCD heal for even more awesome burst potential.
They did bring up tri-disaster and Yoshi laughed at the fact it didn't live up to it's name. So they decided to change it's name to tri-bind (lol xD) and give them an ability that would actually do what tri-disaster was supposed to do: Be as menacing as it sounds(?)
They also joked around a bit that if tri-disaster DID live up to it's name, it would have been too overpowered.
I am gonna put down my thoughts about the new skills once I'm home from work, but on the topic of Proshell being given to everyone else - I can't believe I called it three months ago @.@ Even if it was a good reason to call, lol.
I hope that if they remove the Proshell trait the new trait we get to replace it has something about boosting the power of Cleric's Stance. Given some of the discussion already in the thread about WHMs getting a ton of new attack abilities, I can somehow see this.
I'm confused when it comes to AST. Is the job going to be heavily governed by RNG?
