Ugh. Why? We already have, what, six? I don't understand why they think we need to waste more space on 3 new ones. Last I checked WHM was a Healer. lol

In the stream I think they mentioned they were:
Stone III, more damage?
Some kind of AoE Aero
Holy II deals AoE damage and heals?

They're trying to "shift White Mage towards paladin more" - they actually said this. I can't really see how these spells are related to that. Aside from an AoE aero being similar to Circle of Scorn being an AoE DoT D:

SCH getting temporary buffs to Adlo and E4E apparently.

Also a skill converting shield from Adlo into healing.

Sacrifice faerie into "magic power" (translator words).

Looks like their trying to make SCH and WHM more similar. More DPS for WHM, more healing for SCH.

Healing w/good AoE damage. They already are in some ways (Holy is already really damned good by itself) where now Holy 2 can be used for massive pulls it sounds like (dealing damage + healing once they are immune to the stun?).

True. But if they are trying to make them "more like a Paladin..." I don't know. Also the heal on Holy II would be pretty weak if you are in CS. >>

I'm just disappointed with all the new damage spells. xD We already do a lot of damage with Holy, Stone II, Aero, and Aero II.

I'd imagine it's more in the sense that a Paladin is the 'purest' tank of the three tank Jobs, while White Mages will continue being the 'purest' healer of the trio and that the additions will accentuate that.

I'm leaning towards RIP Scholar myself, with the barrier stance with potential buffing ability astrologian gets. I think they mentioned haste?

Based on what they've presented so far, it looks like White Mages's forte will still be the main healer and Scholar's as supportive healers. Whatever is missing astrologian can fit in either role, apparently. A lot of information is still not out there, though.

We also get an ability that transmutes some damage we do into healing. Guys I think they want us to do damage? I donno? Maybe doing damage is also part of the healing role?

Well, WHM is also getting lustrate. Although it remains to be seen how the WHM version will work exactly.
