Steam users jilted

So not only are Steam users unable to either apply a code from a retail copy of Heavensward (Limited edition or otherwise), or change their steam account to a regular non-steam account so they may do so - we are still unable to even preorder it via steam.
When will we be able to? Will we be able to? How close is it going to cut it? If we are unable to preorder the expansion for whatever stupid reason will you give us the preorder items anyway?

We're going to be able to preorder before early access as they stated several times. Even if it's one day before it, why does it matter?

Because of alot of us, more then you know, don't have a screaming 1 gig download speed and it actually will take a full day maybe two to download it. And no alot of us don't have any other options for isp's...and no we're not moving.

Pretty sure the 1 day was just an over exaggeration, chances are the pre-order will go up a couple of weeks before release, in which case you will have plenty of time.
The ONLY thing steam users got jilted out of, was the physical collectors edition, everything else they will get access too, and with ample time.

Can you please explain the logic behind "I don't have a fast internet so I'll buy that game on a digital platform and it will take ages to download, instead of buying the physical edition"?

Besides, don't assume that the pre-download will be available as soon as pre-orders are open. It doesn't work like that.

If you want physical versions of future content, why do you buy it on Steam?
That's the same like complaining that you can't get a Steam sale on the expansion in a year or so, because you have the direct version of ARR.

I don't know if you've played any other MMO before, but the expansion pack content is downloaded regardless if you've purchased the expansion or not. Everyone gets access to the patch at the same time.
