So, when/why did you vote kick a party member/s?

I haven't been in a party that has vote kicked someone, although I did 'kick' myself once from CC when learning to heal. I caused 3 wipes and the tank left (can't blame him really). The party was happy for me to keep going but I just felt under skilled. I said sorry, that I felt it was beyond me at that point in time and left.

This has been the entirety of my kicking career. I often see myself out before things escalate out of control, dealing with drama is not an enjoyable part of my dungeon experiences.

My parents call me all the time... since it's not on the phone I have to get up and see what they want. Usually I'll ask them how important it is...sometimes you just gotta say "brb, being called" and suck it up if they kick you.

Don't let in-game stuff interfere with real life, especially if it's important enough.

Did my first vote kick today (and yes, I'm a newbie ). Had this guy just plain old go off on the healer for snagging a piece of loot on 'need' instead of 'greed'. Now, to be fair, the healer said they were sorry pretty much immediately. The way the other DPS went off on him was unreal. The tank and I pretty much told the DPS to calm down and he did. Then...he started off on the tank for wiping in a boss battle. Then started on the healer again. Then started on the tank. Not sure how I got away with it, but I guess there's only so much havoc I can cause sticking MOBs in the behind with a pointy stick. >.>

So we kicked him for being an elitist so and so. Not the first time I've seen this and won't be the last time but just wish people had more patience. Everyone makes mistakes, but oh well. *shrug*

If you are on Elemental Data centre, which Tonberry is in, you would have a chance of meeting this player with the initials M.M. (can't name but the name rhymes due to Lalafell convention). You would probably kick him/her if you ended up in the same party. Only time I ever vote-kicked someone. Plays like a bot. And doesn't respond at all. Worst of all, he/she plays a Paladin. Doesn't use either stance despite being told in English, Japanese and auto-translate.

Pretty mundane stuff actually. Some tank in a 4 person dungeon zoned in and took off before the party was ready, got himself killed then warped back to start and swapped into a level 1 sailor shirt and immediately ran back out to pull the mob again. Tried for several mins or so before getting a kick through because the dum-dum had aggro on him almost constantly so we had to time the kick right so it went through right after he died and warped back. :P

I've only seen one vote kick that wasn't for a disconnected player. That was for a tank in a group who refused to play. The healer loaded in first and accidently pulled the first mob. The tank finished loading and started throwing a fit because we didn't wait for him to pull. He then thought he could sit there and do nothing because we need a tank and he is irreplaceable. So we kicked him and a new tank joined in about 20 seconds.
