Noticed a real problem getting this game

I bought the game for £3 from Amazon the other day. ¬_¬ Although that was the UK site so it doesn't help you much.

I really think SE are missing a trick here by not providing the download and registration codes online. Considering they're already losing money from not having subscription fees, you'd think they'd do what they can to make a little money from the game.

Sort it out, Square Enix! You have people who want to buy your game here!

Aye, theres a reason that you can't digital download FFXIV off SE atm.

They dont want new players coming into a game they most likely won't stick with.

Just to give a run-down on prices from what I've seen in stores lately, I've seen the standard edition for $40 at Wal-Mart and Hastings, $30 at Best Buy, and the collector's edition for $40 at Gamestop. So if there's a Best Buy near your friend, you might have him try there.

The game cost me 249 NOK in a norwegian Gamestop, which is about 45$. To me, that is about 1,5 hours at work, and I didnt mind paying that since most games here in norway costs almost double that if not more. Most ive seen a normal edition game sell for is 799NOK, 145$.

SE have zero intention right now to pull in new people or try sell copies, they are planning a relaunch which will then just be your average game sale.

I bought this game a couple of months ago at Gamestop for $15. It was the last copy they had. I have seen 1 or 2 copies elsewhere but they were full price. Fast forward. My friend wants to buy the game since playing a character on mine.
We went to Walmart, 2 Gamestops, and a local gamestore.
I live in the 4th largest city in the US, and this game could not be found.
Check steam - not there..
He refuses to pay full price plus S/H, so..

How are we suppose to get new players when theres so few copies in the wild?

The game is back to full price which is 39.99$ for PC don't know the reason for this but, if you want your friend to play A: He can pay the full price or B: buy a copy on ebay which i see a few for 15$ or C: Look for someone who would sell you a buddy pass.

Sorry there not much you can do on this issue.

LOL, the only reason I got this game was cause my amazon account got jacked and they baught this game along with some other junk and it was sent to my house. A couple days later some1 tried to buy a tv that costs 2k and it didnt go through cause the card was mostly maxed out. Anyway, I'm surprised this game isnt in the more popular stores, not to mention the fact that you live in one of the bigger cities, maybe SE is trying to cut some losses.

The game is technically still in beta.... Once it's fixed ( within another year or two ) they will release more copies as if the game had just came out. Along with media
