I'm not currently on the server but am considering a move. Is there an easy time to reach someone to talk on an alt?

I recently left my static on Cactuar (A11s towers), and this server tends toward extremes so I'm considering a change of pace. I'm relatively new but always looking to improve. I just want an environment that supports this, and where people don't look at me like I sprouted a second head when I say that N.Ast can main heal.

Honestly probably the best main heal sect but I still love my regens over the shielding... would require a little more help from the offhealer I think with party heals so a SCH would be pretty necessary.

That's all I wanted to say... When I was in here looking at this group I ended up speaking with Aeryn Hellfire, so I'm sure the same will happen with you.

So the guild i'm in had a meltdown over the weekend of sorts. Kind of a bummer, but drama happens i guess. I think i'd be interested in a guild that's a tad more active raiding wise. I'd like to think i'm somewhat skilled but i'll leave that up to my teammates to decide. I am an OmniCrafter / gatherer with specs in bsm/wav/alc on top of wanting to start breaking into raiding. I'm a little behind the gearing curve, but can catch up. (took some time off, about a month, but i'm back now.) If your still looking, i may hit you up. As is, i have all 3 main roles covered and geared too 245 plus. (dps 245, healing/tanking 250)

I've tried the N.Ast/WHM dynamic where the WHM is the off-healer supporting with regens. Presence of Mind in a WHM opener is beast DPS. Not that I've had a WHM who appreciates this yet. *sob*

I wouldn't do N.Ast/SCH, honestly, because one healer's shields are always going to take priority while regens and shields never clash. I'd rather try to balance the amount of healing both healers do in a pairing like N.Ast/WHM than delegate one to the strict off-healer role that SCH gets, which works because they have a fairy as constant healing support while they're in Cleric Stance. N.Ast/WHM need to be more mobile and flexible to work well together I think.

I've read and tested a little but never got a chance to explore it. On my home server PUGs and even statics I sub for will give me a funny look if I try to explain it. N.Ast is still seen as just a SCH with cards when IMO it plays more like WHM than SCH.

I've taken a position on Behemoth though so this is kind of moot for me to be in this thread, just can't resist AST.

SCH has a regen as well however, and if im not mistaken (I havent leveled it... a class capable of playing itself is not one I find interesting) it is an instantcast that works off of Aether Stacks. That's why I feel like it is a good combo. The amount of times you have to get out of clerics to cast your AoE regen on WHM would be too much of a DPS loss imo.

But hey, maybe im just priveledged and my WHM is just that awesome? They solo heal everything so far minus a couple moments where I shield people or help quickly top off the party, otherwise everything is left to them. Next A9S clear should have a 4 digit DPS number Thinking of doing double regen in that fight just for the 5% cast speed and higher DPS.

Today I got a solid 23,000 crit on my Essential Dignity in N.Sect... it was awesome, was just 23,000, no other numbers to replace the 0s lol.

Just sharing the healer love. :^)

SCH has Whispering Dawn from Eos, which is an AOE regen. Extremely useful, but not quite what a WHM or D. Ast brings.

It's a pretty busy job imo. Fairy takes care of small heals, but things like dot management and oGCD weaving as well as choosing the timing for various pet buffs (ranging from magic defense boosts to healing boosts) are up to the healer. Some abilities like Dissipation (consume fairy for full Aetherflow stacks and healing boost) are niche and often ignored, but useful in the right setting.

Not a job that plays itself if you want to use its full potential. Underappreciated for sure. I do have Discord if you ever want to chat about healing.

Ya shoot me a link, I'd like to learn more about SCH im just not really wanting to level all that badly right now All I know is most of the SCH I come across really suck at it lol... but there are the few that make me feel "wow... im not solo healing? And they are a SCH? This is wierd..."
