Favourite City/Faction and why?

Good memories, good people. To fight for the Maelstrom is to support the greatest citystate in Eorzea.

It's even more amusing that you essentially START as an anti-pirate pirate as a Rogue before becoming a Ninja.

I love the look of the Black Shroud and Gridania and that's why I started there. Yet, I can't call it my home because the people are overly polite, the city is ran by children and everything revolves around elementals. I chose Maelstrom as my faction because I like their leader and Lominsan culture the most. Also they have beach parties

On topic,
I find it hard to really favor the cities.
They're all good in some ways, and deeply flawed in another.

Gridanians are not treehuggers. They are only so strict because they're scared of the Elementals.
They are mostly xenophobes though, and they are proud to a fault because they were the first(of the main races) to settle in Eorzea.

Ul'dah's corruption is glaring.
But there are good people there, and it has a pretty good story arc. So there's value to being part of it.
I'm with the Immortal Flames because Raubahn is awesome and is probably to be out staunchest ally (in the city-states).

Limsa Lominsa is a reformed pirate city.
Though most of its plot revolves around piracy, it's also kept under martial law to stop that very thing.
It has two sides, and allying with Maelstrom is anti-pirate, though the Admiral is a ruthless because of her background.

Limsa is pretty cosmopolitan and actually aided the Domans.
I may be with the Limsans if it wasn't painful to read their text...

I'm ALL for women in authority, though...which is why I like the Sultana :P
