    How do you change jobs?

I am really curious on this subject. This is one thing that really frustrates me on playing this game, since it feels like Blue Mage from XI when i have to change classes. Re selecting skills is a pain and making gear macros a pain as well.

Really wish they gave us the ability to have different sets of skill bars to use for jobs and allow it to be more streamlined and not a super hassle when changing jobs.

Also on the same note applying this to gear swaps would be nice also. Do we really have to type out our gear swaps into macros. is it 1999?

Maybe I am just super lazy...

There currently are no jobs. :P

    Classes are just Weapon Specialists.

And you are right, it does seem a lot like blue mage, which urked me because that thought makes you wonder why they didn't implement a similar stat bonus system as blue mage.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

I came here to troll you based on the thread title. ^_^

But you're actually right. Having to manually set our abilities (or write a buncha macros) is tedious at worst, convoluted at best. I see no reason why we should not have the ability to save multiple action bar configurations which automatically change when we switch classes, much in the same way FFXI would automatically re-equip the gear you were previously wearing when you switched jobs (provided you had it in your inventory).

    I agree

Client side implementation would be a pretty easy for this in a settings file unless their data structures are done poorly. Even server side storage doesn't seem like it would be too hard with sending a few ability ID's with slot ID's when you change jobs.

Yeah I was hoping they could implement a kind of snapshot setting, so you could save 3-5 different setup's per class. You could take a snapshot of how you had it currently setup and save it then change it around and save another. This so that people like me who have a few different setup's per class can still change between those too. Like on my MRD I have a DD setup and a Tank setup.
