Thread: About 3.1 Relic

As mentioned before the only giant "head start" ppl will get is probs having an i135 wep at the start of 3.0.
Cuz it seems pretty likely tht once u reach level 60, u'll be able to start the new relic quest etc.
But by then im almost certain that the zeta will be in ur inventory collecting dust/ used for glamour.
If a zeta less player obtains a 3.0 relic before zeta users than wouldn't tht make the headstart even more lol wtf?
Ppl r doing so much hopeful wishing based on wat yoshi said but... We got housing, ct raids etc and ofc not everyone will be happy. Might be the majority or minority with pitch forks this time we dunno.

Well regardless on whether or not Zetas will be thrown in the trash bin, how will the new relics fare in comparison? With Zetas having customized stats, I am pretty worried that the new relics will have garbage stat allocations that we can't control or will somehow be weaker than a Zeta in general.

I have a feeling that the base item level will be high enough to be an upgrade regardless of the secondaries. Warriors will will be forced to use a Parry/Acc weapon again, and Summoners will have to use more of that sweet, sweet Spell Speed.

Which is fine for SMN in HW because Spell Speed will finally affect the potency of our DoTs. Bring on the Spell Speed!

I just could not be bothered to move past Novus on scholar because of what is happening and has happened. The relic is just busy work that might create a belittlement of the time and virtual money put into them, come expansion. I am glad Yoshi is keeping the newer players in mind - that's awesome. The rest of us that have gone through the relic pre-3.0 need to also keep that in mind from here on out.

I finished my zeta months ago. I got way more out of it than a slight boost for the next weapon. I disagree with the op entirely.

I could have sworn that the "head start" was jsut a rumor tht got passed around. Still can't find any remarks about relics other than they're coming in 3.1 and Zeta owners will be taken into consideration

Your prize is your weapon that you can use for glamor. Most people who start new in HW aren't probably going to farm a zeta.
