Can 3.0 give us ways to make money without being a zombie?

Let me say this right now because I know someone will say it. No, I am not asking for an easy way to make money. What I'm asking for is a way to make money that doesnt make me slowly peel my own skin off to keep myself awake while doing so.

Lvling crafter and Spirit bonding is so brain dead boring I can literally feel half of my brain going into atrophy from the sheer boredom. I really hope 3.0 gives us some way to make money that isnt incredibly dull.

I must respectfully disagree with you.

Its so painfully easy to make money, even off just running dungeons and selling the mats that comes out of it, that there is a huge deficit of gil supply to demand already. A good portion of us literally have millions, and no way to spend it. We need more gil sinks, not more gil fountains.

Also, as far as "boring" goes, its very subjective. I find studying moves for primals to be boring, but I find crafting to be fun and rewarding. I'm sorry if you cant find any way to make money that is fun for you, but that is personal, not a flaw of the game itself.

TL;DR this game has too much gil already, we need less, not more.

The first half of your response tells me you didnt bother reading everything or you just skimmed over it. Again, I'm not asking for easy ways to make money. I'm asking for ways to make money that isnt dull.

"we"? I must strongly disagree. Must agree with OP, you didn't read his/her main intention and you're kinda boasting your fortune.

spiritbonding and crafting isn't dull. I have a large amount of fun with it, more so than I ever do as battle classes.

Honestly, you don't need gil for a majority of battle content as it is. Plenty of people get by with just what they get from dungeons and such.

Think of it this way. Adventurers have, in fantasy, been nomads who only travel with what they have, and a small coin purse to get them by. The people with riches, even in fantasy worlds, are people who settle down and do the "dull" tasks, like running shops and crafting armors. Making money is stereotypically a dull task. If its fun, then why are you being paid for it? People pay for other people to do things they DON'T want to do themselves.

What is there even to use money for? I've soon cleared all the content in the game (on T12 now) and I've barely ever spent money on anything other than teleports.

Money is mostly used for vanity and the relic grind I believe, and if you're the type of person with patience for that stuff then it's very likely you have the patience to grind money too. That makes you a minority exception, OP, so don't expect things to change.

spiritbonding: Go as a group. Put other people in your spiritbonding armor, and pay them to wear it and give you the materia afterwards. 7 people, 5 sets, that's 385 pieces of materia to gain in a little more than an hour. Also, when doing it as a group, make a game out of it. My SB group has a drinking game that we play, where each time someone messes up a pull, they take a shot.

Crafting: I use a lot of my crafting to test out different rotations. Try specifically screwing it up halfway, and then try to save the craft. also, crafting as a group, to make communal items, helps a lot. I have 2 people make horn glue, then I make plywood, and we split the mastercraft profits.

    Hope it helps!

Of course making money is dull, how much are you trying to make 1 million? 10 million? 100 million? It's going to be an endless repetition to get there, you could be spiritbonding, crafting, gathering, whatever.. But when you try to make more than 5000 gil, it will involve lots and lots of repetition that's what makes it dull, not the methodology itself.

You could play the market to make money, trying to read the trends, it's exciting stuff.. Try that for 3 months, it gets dull.

I admit crafting is probably the hardest to do by hand just because of its repetitive nature, I use dual monitors and just run macros to mass produce. Or you could just craft big ticket items that are worth 3m+ and make a million a pop.

There are already multitudes of ways to make gil in this game, you just choose whichever you like best and stick with it. OR you can opt out of the gil making game, you only need so much anyway. Either way, you just go with what you'd like to do, gil is not all that necessary.

If you really hate making gil that much, just ask a crafter friend for a few million donation and use that, most crafters can spare that kind of money at this point.

Nah, any respectable crafter knows talking about a few millions of gil isn't boasting.. it's only boasting if you're impressed by that amount.. Like this.
