What if there was an Eorzean Subterrane?

I was playing some FF4 in the Underworld area when I thought "Hmm, what if we could see what lies beneath Eorzea?"

What do you suppose would be there? What kind of content/dungeons?

The destroyed West Shroud seems like it'd be a pretty nice place for an entrance.

This isn't a bad idea at all. I'd love some huge cavernous location.. dark and spooky. :-O

If I'm not mistaken, Bahamut's chamber is just a portion of it.
As big as Bahamut is, he's not the size of Eorzea's entirety and from what I can tell, his chamber looks barely bigger than him.

EDIT: Basically I'm suggesting that Bahamut's chamber similar to the Tower of Babil in FFIV. Large locations that house large things but don't encompass the whole underground.

As for the rest of the coil locations, they take place within the coils themselves. We don't actually see what goes on underground external to the coils en route to Bahamut.

Bahamut's prison spread from La noscea to the Shroud, from Coerthas to Thanalan, so yes it takes a huge part of Eorzea.

    and not only that but
the ragnarok class ships, are under the ground horizontally as well as vertically, and they go the a maximum depth of nearly 10,000 yalms,

if there was something underground it would have to not be in eorzea since the most you will find is allagahn ruins from dalamud, aka the binding coils of bahamut

in 1.0 you could do exactly that. If there was a hole you could go in it!

There is already lore for this though. The Gelmorra ruins are where the original habitants of gridania lived. Its an underground city in north shroud. They had to live there while learning to communicate with the elementals because the forest was too hostile because of ixal and elementals.

true but that is 1.0 lore and the fall of dalamud may of destroyed that underground city, this is an issue since a moon basically hitting the planet as well as a gigantic dragon causing massive explosions , as well as warping the land in a massive scale would of done a tonne of damage to the underground of eorzea, since most of the underground we see are either a mess of orange corrupted crystals or allag ragnarok ships, the ancient city underground would most likely (in a realistic scale) be destroyed with it, if it did survive SE would have to think of some dues ex machnia to make that city survive the extremely volatile callamaty that was happening.

it was already a streach for the belldonnan ruins (i think i spelt that right) like the sunken temple of quan would of survived in such a state when the t12 gameplay shows that the land was hit by a shokewave of a grate size as well as reducing most of the land to a molten state,

then again it is a game and if it fits the game the find a random way of making it survive the calamity
