I don't know what games you've played in the past, but surely a Job such as a Thief should have access to multiple weapons? Locking Jobs in a one-to-one relationship with Weapon Classes has essentially locked each job to only one weapon!

bad:

Two points to make here. Gonna give you the dessert first, since you'll cry less, but sooner or later, those veggies are gonna need to be eaten.

I agree with: Jobs should used as a defined role within party play.
Solo: Who cares, Set yourself up with Second Wind II, Cure/Sac3, Siphon MP, Siphon TP... etc, etc. (Kinda sounds like the clones bit in your 'Bad:' link, everyone using the same skills >_> yay for cross-classing.) Be that uber-Do-Everything-BAMF when you solo.

Party: Pick a job. Tank huh? okay, here's your DEF boosts, ya hey-look-at-me hate-grabbers, a little damage output. NEXT! Got a Healer Friend? K they get the heals. Oh, someone who wants to play non-healing support, k Buff-Bonanza. Oh. Here's the guy who wants to crush/shoot/stab the opposition, here ya go buddy, have some attack boosts/damage modifiers. Go nuts.

Everyone doing what they want, just like now, with the classes system but... they're going to get specialist abilities to help them out. Who needs MRDs {Intimidation} on GLA if you pick your job to be Paladin, and they give you {Intimidation II}? CONs has Cure 3, let's give White Mages Cure 4. Hey, that guy is trying to play a bit like an old school Thief. Have Blindside 3, Collusion 2, have fun dude. (FOR EXAMPLE, BEFORE ANYONE JUMPS DOWN MY THROAT.)

I also agree with: Jobs okay, we know they'll be unlocked via a one-to-one ratio with classes, hopefully this will change in the future, but, will we be able to use them on other classes? Sure, GLA -> PLD, but maybe I wanna use a Lance and Tank AT THE SAME TIME. Life Surge would help for this, why can't I? I'd like to be a DRK with a sword. Last Resort + Souleater Riot Blade? Hell yes, let's do it. DD GLA finally.

What I dont agree with: This feeling of you needing to be able to cross-class on a job. Why? It's sacrificing flexibility for increased ability. The transitioning between class and job should, and probably will be as seamless as swapping from any class to a different class. (Albeit, setting skills is a pain.) Once you get the job, nothing's forcing you to stay locked in as it.
Dungeon run: Hmm, we'll need you as your class to help kill everything in sight, boss coming up? You guys stay classes to be able to cross-class some stuff (stuns/additional heals, etc). We're gonna swtch to our jobs... (PLD for high DEF, WHM for better heals, you can see where I'm taking this, right?)

If you think everyone is going to be a clone when jobs come out, just look now. Nearly everyone can raging strike/ferocity/bloodbath their weaponskills, cure/sac/second wind for self-healing, and buff with protect/stoneskin/shock spikes. The only thing thats different is the weapons in their hands.

TL;DR? I'm super-excited for jobs, I'm gonna wait to see what SE do with 'em before Q_Q'ing

But if YOU could implement jobs, how would YOU implement them? The same way SE intends to implement them?

I'd make it like jobs from XI: Reach r30? You can go do a quest to unlock that specialisation. Usable with any class, but most cross-class abilities are locked out, in favour of better situational abilities from that job.

Nothing saying you couldnt be a conjurer paladin, or a puglist whitemage, bt obviously you'll probs get better results from different job/class combos.

Funnily enough, definately not locked one-to-one for the forseeable future though. Oh no.

I have two armory threads, but they aren't in the same forum/language. And who is worse? The person getting nowhere? Or the person telling the person getting nowhere that they are getting nowhere? Think about that.
This remind me.. do you remember the japanese guy come'd in this section, asking you to not flood the forum with your topics ? Because you cross-posted your topics in the japanese section too, and they were'nt too happy :|| now you just repeating that attitude, other than be a stick on the back.
You don't read the future, nor will be. Stop pretending you know everything, you just look dumb

Neither is "derp" or "pwned" etc., but that never stopped the translators from using these in the Letters from the Producer.

"Funnily enough" is a commonplace phrase, anyhow. Many people use it. So even if "funnily" is not a word, the meaning is conveyed regardless.

If you didn't understand what I was trying to say, I guess I could try and translate it into technical english for you. Sometime.

People don't acknowledge pwned or derp as words in the dictionary, you used it casually without the intent of using it in a slang meaning.
