SNOW Recruiting Thread

That Snow Moon [SNOW] has opened its doors to recruiting. A Free Company established since 2.0, we are a close group of friends that have decided to open our doors to recruitment. This Free Company focuses on raids and general progression, though not on a hardcore timeline. Many of us are married, a few have children, and we all value our game time together and understand when life happens.

A member of SNOW needs to have a sense of humor, be a mature player, and be prepared to have a laid back good time. We value quality over quantity with our members. We play during EDT and PDT time zones, and can be found most evenings after 7pm EDT. We have a small plot house in Mist.

Currently SNOW has 1 raiding group on Binding Coil 3. We've also recently acquired 4 players pre 50, and would love to get at least 4 more to start making a progression group for them, so they can experience the game together. I'm also interested in recruiting players to start another progression group, though I care very little with what phase of progression they are at.

Recruits will be judged on their personality, or lack there of.

Looking to join a fun, chilled, yet focused FC... But also looking for coil raids if possible. I have 2 friends who also are looking.

Questions:
Looking to fill empty raid spots? If so, which jobs?
What time & days does raid start?
What time zone - EST, CST, PST?
Current progression?
Do you use VoIP? Which?
And has anyone in the FC eaten yellow snow?

SNOW currently has 1 raiding group, though one of my goals is to get at least 3 8 main raiding groups going throughout the week These raiding groups may also consist of our sister Free Company, JUNES. So, to answer your questions,

We currently have 1 full raiding group, but are interested in creating more. We also have 2 new players under 50, 1 probably a tank, and 1 probably a DPS.
We have a fairly even mix of DoH in the Free Company as it stands.
We have a fairly even split of EDT and PDT. We raid Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 EDT.
Our raid group is at T9, currently perfecting the elemental dance.
Yep! We use Ventrillo.
So there was this one time, while running a Snowcloak run... Let's just say I wouldn't recommend it!

I am specifically interested in someone, or someones, who can take a newly formed Binding Coil group and continue on with it. SNOW has a small house in the Mist, Ward 3, plot 17. Feel free to stop by and check us out or send a tell!

Hey, interesting in switching servers and joining a new FC. How is your server in terms of people overall? We left WoW for a multitude of reasons but found annoying people spamming zone chat to be one of them....hopefully it isn't like that.

About me: I'm stationed in Alaska so would be down to play casually and am looking forward to hitting 50 and raiding. My wife comes paired with me as well. We can tank and heal (and everything else). I'm definitely looking forward to the dark knight as well....I work all day lon but am free on weekends and evenings. Wife will be in OH for a year and then coming back to AK so there will be those differences as well.

Do we seem like a good fit?

I can vouch for these guys. I created the FC at 2.0 launch but had to leave the game for awhile due to personal reasons irl. I'm in Junes now, who are also a great group of people.

I'd say so. We've got a few guys who know all about being stationed in different places. I hear at least one of them wants to go back to Alaska. I love Balmung because of its spice and lack of RMT spam. It does have roleplayers, which I'm not into personally, but every once and a while, I'll just sit in one of the bars and listen to the chat for a laugh.

In short, I think you'd be happy with our crew, and if you decide after hanging out with us that you aren't, no harm. I'll be on for a bit this evening. If you, or your wife can't catch me (Icknickl Lodien), you can look for some of the other members of the Free Company. Taco Cat, Baus Anova, Saoirse Lee, and Zero Fatchix are all good people to talk to as well, and can all add you.

Brother, if you hadn't said you were leaving the game for good, I'd never have cleared you from the Free Company (Skookum and his wife are still in, because I'm hoping that they'll come back). I'm glad you're in Junes, but if you ever wanted to come home, there's always a spot available.
