I can't say I disagree with what you said in this post. It was all quite rational and well thought out. I acknowledge the points you made.

Where we seem to have different perspectives is as to whether the tournament is more competitive, or if it is more geared toward community and inclusion.

If it is equally both, well then it should be equally competitive and equally inclusive. The way the rules are written now definitely lean more toward inclusive than competitive, for the reasons I have previously illustrated.

Here's how I look at a competitive Wolves Den tournament, such as the one we are talking about:

Wolves Den is 4 v 4, not 6 v 6. So let's see who the best 4 player team is ~ the 4 most skilled PvPers!

Simple as that.

The inclusive balance would be the middle ground suggestion I made in my previous post. What do you think of that suggestion?

Is it a competitive tournament we are talking about? If so, people should discuss concerns they have about the rules with the intention of fairness, true or false? Yours is just another attempt to label us as complainers and skirt the issue. What do you think about the rules as they stand of 6 player teams with the ability to freely swap out team members in between matches, and the possibility of changing the rules to 4 player teams with only the ability to freely swap out jobs?

Every single online tourney I have seen has this kind of rules. It is completely normal. Also you seem to be demanding more than suggesting, implying your team won't participate if rules don't go as you want them to be, missing out the fact that this is for the community and not for honor and glory.
As I said, I am willing to step out so we can get this going. That means my team won't be able to freely swap since no other range dps.
Any more complains now?

Your suggestion would certainly work for me, I think we can workshop it to come up with a solution that everyone is happy with. I'll use it as a starting point tonight when I talk with some of the other groups on skype (it's probably more efficient if that's where i discuss it with them just so we can get this figured out ASAP). It sounds like with that change your group would feel a lot more comfortable entering?

As a quick side note, I think my group of 4 is going to start ramping up our training next week. The current groups I've fought with before can look forward to me pestering you guys for matches, and if any other groups want to get some practice runs in feel free to contact me on reddit or skype (skype name = Blubbers_).

My group's raiding tonight and it could potentially be a late night for us, although I could hop on for 20 mins at 8 (we're starting at around 8:30). I think my group is flexible and will defer to the group consensus if we haven't figured it out by then if that works for everyone. Settle down. These are not complaints, they are legitimate concerns. I am certain there are more teams than mine who have a problem with those rules and likely will not participate because of them.

So in your opinion, the tournament is not for "honor and glory" or competitiveness at all? Only community?

The action you suggested may solve the issue, because your team is the only team I know of who would be affected by changing the rules to 4 player teams only, but your leaving on that note is not an optimum solution because it would leave people salty. Revising the rules is a better course of action, as it is a community effort and resolution, as opposed to you leaving against your team against your wishes to bring some kind of false peace.

Why don't we just get rid of the prizes, because if we keep them all thats going to happen is 2 less people are going to get to play, which is pretty stupid if you ask me (mainly because im one of the people affected and i literally bring nothing to the teams roster that we didnt already have)

I'm well aware of the fact that a good number of players on aether dislike me and my team, but if people are going to fight tooth and nail for some of us to be pretty much kicked out of the tournament, then i'm sorry blubbers but i'm not prepared to pay for the extra prizes.
