A few of my judges had something come up – so once again we have Results and Voting all in one~
Week 6 is now over; this is it people we are getting towards the end of this! Who will win the title of Eorzea’s Next Top Model?!
First off, as always, critiques!
#TEAMROPO
Eldaena:
Katarh Mest - You did it again! You're really drawing in the viewer with this pose. The wind in your hair is also a nice touch. It looks like you want to take the viewer on a magical starry journey with you! Lighting isn't too harsh which is also really good for these night time shots. Another breathtaking week for you. =)
Caimura Rathe - How pretty! I like how everything in the background seems to be helping to focus the viewers’ attention up to the stars with you. Lighting isn't too harsh which is good for a night shot, but I do wish your stars were a tad brighter. I love seeing the dandelion fluffs, though. Everything else is amazing, great job!
Lior Xanthos - Your star’s background is probably one of my favorites. The lightning on your face is really good too. It's just lighting from the moon light, right? It always looks better than the artificial lighting sources. I don't think the pose is necessarily poor here, but the camera's angle isn't complimentary. It makes your character look huskier and your arm looks kind of short too. Keep at it, this was still a really good shot!
Sangriah Valere - Noooo...the one time the depth of field doesn't work with the shot! I kind of feel like this shot should be about you and your co-star should be the stars. Another issue is the lighting is far too bright for a night shot. It's definitely not natural lighting. If you wanted it to be lighting from like a lamp post, maybe you could have incorporated the lamp post giving you the lighting into your shot.
Kimberlynne Highwind - I like the idea behind your shot, but your lighting is a bit dark and I feel like you aren't really working with the camera or angles much either. You character seems kind of sad and distant, but I don't think we should feel you are distant from the camera as well. I would probably recommend for a shot like this for the moon to be out to give you better natural lighting. Mess with your angles and not having yourself centered especially when working with other focus points like the grave. Good luck!
Masha:
Kimberlynne Highwind of Malboro
I’m sorry, but my first thought was “Another one?” This is a very iconic setting but in this competition alone I have seen so many shots at this location… One has to ask, when can one say “this is not moving anymore” (#toosoon?). Then night sky is nice, but especially the left side feels a bit empty with the lack of stars, the few clouds and the dark mountain range.
Lior Xanthos of Gilgamesh
A great night sky and a simple but sufficient setting. The lighting is nicely done to not have you blend away into the back, but you still put yourself down a little. Always consider how much of yourself you are blocking with glamour and pose. The glam fits you well (though I contend that glasses look weird on the squinty eyed male Au Ra) but the fluffy arm as well as your pose block most of you and cut off your face.
Sangriah Valere of Excalibur
I have heard said from Kai that the new /gpose toolset was not supposed to be used yet but I think we all agree that was mostly because of the colour correction and new lenses, not the focus slider. So when we would like to see a night sky picture, the sky should not be out of focus. That and you and your partner being a bit over-lit here makes this a rather unbalanced picture regarding the brief to me. The idea was nice; execution needs some refinement.
Caimura Rathe of Balmung
A little light on the stars compared to others but to me the Moon steals the show for me here. Although it’s faint it’s lit beautifully, a great moment to catch on camera. I also really like the framing you did in the foreground, and although I am a bit on the fence about a frontal shot instead of back or portrait to watch the sky more, it’s well done. I DO find the white lipstick a bit distracting though…
Katarh Mest of Lamia
This is something different from many entries this round and I like different! For the caption that you have I find the glamour a bit too battle oriented but I love the pose and the thought behind it! The location is interesting, though you could have probably found a spot that shows a bit more sky. A slightly more upward angled camera would have even done the trick perhaps.
#TEAMTY
Marik:
Bastien Felicieux of Balmung:
What a very pretty shot indeed. I really love what Idyllshire has become so far, and utilizing it for your background works. My concerns for this shot though are mostly the lighting, and your angle. Your lighting is very bright against you and a dark background; it seems highly unnatural and not sure where a natural source would be coming from to hit you like that. For the angle, it’s such a strange angle I’m not sure what it is exactly, but it just makes you look more elongated in the face then what you really are, just isn’t too flattering. Regardless of all that still a top notch shot and you shine like the stars! Good job this week!
Gangly Zilla of Cactuar:
Wow… just wow! This is an amazing shot, and probably one of my favorites this week! I am in love with this shot so much! Seriously, I feel like I’m watching a fairytale scene unfolding among my eyes at this very moment! Your background and you just flow so well together, and that pose? AMAZING! I would have liked just a bit more lighting on yourself, but it still works really well and is just simply divine. Really you just captivated me in the most amazing fairy tale I’ve seen in a while and I wish I could see how it ends, just again beautiful work this week!
Iris Dawnshade of Hyperion:
Such a beautiful night to do some studying among the stars! I really really do love your shot and your concept! Just such a fun shot! Lighting and pose are extremely on point and I love your expression so much! Background is great as well as your glamour, just everything is on point and I really just enjoy your concept too! What a fun and shiny shot this week, love it!
Jester Ehrenfeld of Balmung:
Ahh just lounging about on the beach as the stars pass you by…! Really playful concept, so cute! A few things though that could use some improvement though would be your lighting, angle, and I’m not entirely sold on your extra. You’re just really dark against an already dark background, would have loved to see you pop more. The angle is a bit weird to the point that, with your extra my eyes almost want to focus on her first, your head is more in the foreground so that helps. Just not entirely sure she was needed. Overall though a really playful shot and love the concept! Enjoy your relaxing on the beach!
Mackayla Lane of Balmung:
So romantic and so beautiful! I feel like I’m falling right into Eorzea, I just love it! Such an amazing shot this week; everything is so technically well done. I love your glamour, the lighting, your pose, angle, and background… just everything! So on point with the theme, just love it! Your dark tones just pop so well against your bright glamour and that pops so well against your dark background, it’s all just so beautifully executed! Definitely another of my faves this week, keep up the amazing work!
Nadede Lasalle of Hyperion:
Awww, such a sweet shot. So adorable and cute! I really love your background; it’s just full to the brim with stars! You and your glamour are totally on point, of what I can see. It just doesn’t seem too flattering to cut half of yourself off though, just a smidge more zoomed out would have just been perfect. Everything else though is rather on point and I am just mesmerized by the beauty of this shot. Amazing work this week! Keep it up girl!
Shayera Tano of Faerie:
Such a well-executed and gorgeous shot! I really adore your background sooo much! I love how there is barely any land on the border while the rest is just the sky full of stars! Your glamour is amazing and works so well! I love your pose and lighting, just done so beautifully! Your expression is also really nice. You just seem so happy and amazed by the night time sky in Eorzea, I can’t help but be amazing myself as I look on this shot, great work this week!
Flare:
Bastien Felicieux: This is actually a really nice shot. Not a bunch of stars, but it was set up nicely and is just overall a nice night shot. I think the lighting is a bit bright which takes away from the sky a bit but I enjoyed your picture a lot.
Gangly Zilla: This is a gorgeous picture! The sky is full of stars and your dress is flowing just right to really sale the fact that you are dancing with the stars.
Iris Dawnshade: Just enough stars in the background to get the job done with also focusing on you
studying the stars. Great use of the background and the lighting is nicely done as well.
Jester Ehremfeld: This is a really soft and nice picture. It's the picture before the actually professional photo. The lighting is also great, not bright nor too dark.
Mackayla Lane: I've seen a lot of pictures using this same background, but you captured something
very magical. Your outfit blends very well with the stars and night sky and your solemn pose brings it all together.
Nadede Lasalle: Cute picture that is a bit safe compared to the others but stands out on its own due to the natural lighting and the fact that half the background is the actually stars. Great work over all.
Shayera Tano: Someone is enjoying themselves! Beautiful background and great use of the whm victory pose. The outfit balances the dark background and the lighting is nice as well.

It is now time to vote for WEEK SEVEN!!!
Theme: Eorzea's Next Top Model: The Musical!
Idea: #TeamTy Captain!
In this round, the models are tasked to take a shot that looks like they're making their big Broadway debut. Are they Miserables as a red-headed orphan, Singing in the Rain, or perhaps belting out a number as the Phantom of Haukke Manor? The shot should feature the model singing, either their big solo number or leading an ensemble. It's your big break, so make sure not to throw away your shot!"
NOTE: All areas/dungeons are usable for this week, no restrictions.

I got to meet with Nozomei Kei at the fanfest! That was so fun! Such a nice person! She even gave me a shirt <3 and made the wait in line not even feel like a wait! I wish I could have ran into more of you guys!
Just gonna make this really quick because I know I am late – sorry it was my birthday and we were out late! Seeing this is the last week I’m going to leave voting open until Wednesday!
First off, Critiques:
#TeamTy:
Masha:
Sorry if I keep it short this week, fall hitting Germany hard this week and cold bug bit me >.<
I want to preface this that similar to cosplay some references here are clearly easier to get and some are not. However, I interpreted the brief as specifically a musical number, so your goal should have been to make sure the viewer knows you are singing or somehow performing at a single glance. I felt some of you shot past that goal a bit.
Bastien Felicieux of Balmung
Similar problem to Shayera’s, where I’d rather see you performing than posing. Though here I feel the reference game is completely off, since the Wizard was rather different from your interpretation here. ^^; The problem with the use of NPC extras is always that you have to watch how you frame your picture to have their poses & lines of sight work with you. I keep staring at the Lalafell next to your butt, staring into space…
Gangly Zilla of Cactuar
One of the few in the bunch not referencing anything specific and oddly enough to me, one of the strongest. An iconic setting, pose… anyone would know you just made a marvelous performance for the ages. I would almost wish for a slightly more even angle, less from below, so we can see more of your face, but still, it’s simple and stunning, well done.
Iris Dawnshade of Hyperion
Composition wise, lighting wise... it’s great... but… it’s a cute Lalafell eyelevel with shiny Roe crotches. As a comedy this is great. XD But I feel there were some entries that just had more flair and class that transmitted the “performing” vibe more than you did. You’re treading a fine line between joke & performance here.
Jester Ehrenfeld of Balmung
You’re getting veeeery lost in the picture. I think one seedling would have been enough, plus, similar to Nadede, I get the Homage but not sure if you are in a musical number here or just in despair over the fact that you got VA in Leveling roulette AGAIN. ._.
Mackayla Lane of Balmung
This is a shot I was hoping for with this brief. One glance and you know we’re looking at a stage, at a performance. It’s wonderfully set up, the costuming, the extras…you are still the centerpiece in a group performance I would have loved a frontal angle here to see the symmetry of the stage set and/or maybe a bit more zoom because you are getting a little bit small.
Nadede Lasalle of Hyperion
I felt this kind of missed the brief. Cheeky idea but you were supposed to be singing a number, not throwing a diva fit on the stage.Very odd location for a stage as well, there is a stagehand on the right cut off (always keep an eye open for such things when framing your shot). Also if you are fighting with an extra, the emote would make much more sense if you direct your anger at them, not at the camera.
Shayera Tano of Faerie
Good reference, though the afro might be a little bit strong.I would have liked a less static image for an impressive character like Frank N.Furter, or at least your character moving their lips – again, the brief was singing. Also the image feels a little dark overall, while the indirect lighting items are nice, they are a bit weak here.
Eldaena:
Shayera Tano - I didn't expect to see this, but really glad that I did! I laughed really hard when I scrolled and saw this at the bottom of the images for this week. Easily identifiable, great pose, and background. Good job!
Gangly Zilla - Encore! Encore! This is so great! It actually reminds me a bit of the opening from Parasite Eve (bit of an obscure reference.) Lighting and pose are amazing and it's the perfect background for what you were going for here. Great work!
Mackayal Lane - Your lighting aspects are amazing here. I haven't seen this musical before, but I looked up some references and can see the similarities. I think this was a great use of extras and I'm sure it took a lot of time to get it together this way. Bravo!
Jester Ehrenfeld - This also made me laugh! I haven't seen this musical in such a long time, but I instantly knew you were Seymour! So funny and cute, excellent work!
Bastien Felicieux - Very creative! Probably one of my favorite images from you. I like the use of the thaumaturge's guild for your background and your facial expression is really cool, but reminds me of David Bowie from the Labyrinth a bit more than the Wizard from Oz.
Nadede Lasalle - Another creative idea for this theme! This is pretty funny too and I like both of the expressions and poses. The only thing that I could think of that would make this better would be like a stage background with better lighting. Good work!
Iris Dawnshade - I'm not sure if this is supposed to be inspired by a specific musical, but it's kind of funny. I can't get over the fact that it looks like everyone is wearing diapers under their tights, but I guess that's my problem! lol You look really happy, keep having fun!
#TeamRo
Flare:
Caimura Rathe: This is great picture and you as Jasmine is super cute. You and the pillow are my center focus with the background giving the beautiful scenery. Pretty much everything is even and
well put together. One thing I've noticed week after week is that you like really dark backgrounds, which is fine and I actually prefer them myself. With that being said, I felt like your face is very dark and could have benefited from the sun minion, (Could have got a friend to help with that) or I believe that there were new filters with /gpose introduced.
Katarh Mest: Visually this is a stunning picture. The outfit is well put together and the background has a nice balance with the lighting. The lighting on your character is perfect as well. I must admit I've never watched "My Fair Lady" and when I googled it, I got a different vibe then the picture you sent in. However, I actually watched the video for the song and instantly got what you were portraying and I must say you did very well! One minor thing I would have included was some extras to make the picture livelier since there are extras interacting with Hepburn's character throughout the whole song.
Kimberlynn Highwind: As a few of the models recreated some of their favorite musical numbers you seemed to create your own original. I admire your picture, but for me it falls a little short with no clear identity of what story you are trying to tell with this picture. There seems to be a lot of dead space which could have been cured with some extras maybe dancing behind you or even a background story going on. This picture had a lot of potential.
Lior Xanthos: This is a more personal picture that hits home for all of us. I love your expression, the tie-in with Les Miserables. I love how your mourning two of our dear friends, and how there are only two empty chairs in the shot. While there are better visually looking pictures, I think the simplicity and homage to two favorites of XIV really makes this picture stand out from the rest. Super nice work!
Sangriah Valere: This is one of the pictures that you instantly know where it's from just by looking at is. Outfit is on point, the singing expression with the music notes coming out adds something extra to it. Even your pianist is involved with the picture. I love the dark background and the spot light that's on you. Nice work.
Marik:
Caimura Rathe of Balmung:
♫”I can show you the world, shining shimmering splendid! Tell me princess now when did you last let your heart decide?” ♫ You took Broadway productions and gave me movie productions instead! I’d gladly duet with you any day Caimura! Everything is just so fluid in this shot, from your lighting and background to your expression and glamour! I love how the natural moonlight just pops so well off of you. Too bad there wasn’t a dashing Aladdin nearby, hehe. Great work this week and splendid job as always!
Katarh Mest of Lamia:
Stage is set, lights are up, and you my dear are the star! So eloquently executed and so beautifully done. I really love what you’re giving me here; a sense of stage presence, with amazing background (only Broadway dreams of having lol) and your glamour is spot on! Expression and lighting are really well, though the lighting is a tad bright, it still works and well! Overall great job, if you don’t get the Tony I’ll be shocked!
Kimberlynne Highwind of Malboro:
I really like this shot, and I definitely see what you were trying to go for. I’m not entirely sure it conveys “ENTM: The Musical” as the theme implies. I feel as if there is a lack of emotion, and the pose itself is sort of a bit awkward, but I really love the glamour and definitely hits high notes for me. The stage just feels so vastly empty, maybe some back up people or even different lighting? It just is missing something to really make you shine and sparkle like the Broadway star you are!
Lior Xanthos of Gilgamesh:
Brings a tear to my eye… ::sniffles:: Such emotion such stage presence! This is definitely such a powerful piece, and I love everything you have going on! The background and all of your props just work wonders for what is going on here. I really adore your glamours it is spot on! My one issue is maybe having a bit more lighting on yourself. You almost blend in with the background, but thankfully our skin tone and horns pop! Just really great work this week Lior! I definitely smell a nominee for the Tonys!
Sangriah Valere of Excalibur:
♫ “Come on babe, why don't we paint the town, and all that Jazz.” ♫ Just stunning and gorgeous!! I’m in absolute love with this shot so much, has to be one of my favorites this week! Everything is just on point with your glamour, lighting, effects, background, and even your extra! It all just fits and works so beautifully! I definitely see another nominee for that Tony!

It is the final week; someone will take the title of: Eorzea’s Next Top Model Next Thursday!! Who will it be, well… you need to vote to find out!
The theme for week 8 is as follows:
Do It, With Face!
Idea: Seisha Rei from Balmung
Some say models are nothing without their fan-C outfits! Prove them wrong with your beautiful face and expressive features, smiling is optional. This is a beauty shot (close up of face, usually from shoulders and up) and try to take it against a basic background (nothing fancy, maybe a wall or such - you should be the focal point), use the aesthetician to do a beautiful makeover, using specified face paints.
Here are your lovely models!

IT IS TIME… TIME TO ANNOUNCE THE WINNER OF
EORZEA’S NEXT TOP MODEL!
First, models I would like to say that I think every single one of you did a wonderful job. It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there and have others judge you, and not everyone could do it. Everyone one of you should be proud of yourself, and the lovely shots that you graced us with for the last 8 weeks. Honestly, I’ve been there and I know it’s hard, I am super proud of all of you! <3
As for my Judges, I also know it’s hard to sit there and critique all of these beautiful pictures and put them into an order (been there too). So, thank you for helping me with this and putting yourself out there as well. I couldn’t have done this without your help and support! <3
But don’t think it’s all over, Kai has some tricks up her sleeve. Look back in a few days for hints on Cycle #7, yep… ENTM will be back!
That said…
The overall team that scored the highest over the last EIGHT WEEKS is:
#TEAMTY!
Congratulations y’all, you kept pushing out fierce pics and brought you team to the top. Now… someone go pop Ty’s head before it gets too big. Heehee. <3
Now the OVER ALL CHAMPION:
The Winner of Eorzea’s Next Top Model…
Is…
CAIMURA RATHE
You have shown that big things can come from small packages, and you are the Cycle 6 Winner!
Each Judge wrote a little something for each model this week, so here are the critiques etc…
Marik:
First off I’d like to say Carbuncleulations to all our models! You guys gave a spectacular performance this season on Eorzea’s Next Top Model! This has been a fantastic cycle, and I’m so happy and impressed by each and every one of you! Thank you for taking me on a journey with each of you and allowing me to see how creative and special each of you are.
Bastien Felicieux:
Right out the gate I knew this Elezen guy was going to be something special, and frank you quite were! What a handsome and gentlemanly performance. Each week you gave me something intriguing and yet very sophisticated and I enjoyed it all! For this week, I’m getting that same sophistication as always, with a bit of playfulness. I really enjoy the pose and lighting. It definitely speaks model to me, and you did an excellent job. Great work!
Caimura Rathe:
Starting out strong this cycle, winning the first challenge! I was quite impressed and I always looked forward to what this small package could deliver each week! You took me on a magical journey and one I didn’t realize I wanted to go on. Quirky, cute, and full of pizazz! Phenomenal! This week, sassy as ever and very Caimura, I literally was in a novella with this shot! Wondering… “This face… has a story!” That is always a plus, to draw in the viewer! Everything is on point, and you my dear are very much a star! Superb job this week!
Gangly Zilla:
My dearest Gangly. Watching you grow, and just flourish in this competition, I was so impressed and amazed, even stunned! I was so happy to see returning faces, and yours was one I was intrigued to see where you’d take me. I was pleasantly surprised by the journey and each week’s results! You truly have risen up as a true model and star! For the challenge this week, it’s very Gangly and very fitting. You have such an innocence to you and your face. You have the ability to be fierce, but it’s always refreshing seeing a vulnerable or soft side of a fierce competitor! Just splendid work and impressed as always!
Iris Dawnshade:
Sweet lil’ Iris! Another seasoned model come back to compete and not a dull moment! You always were able to put a smile on my face or give me a hearty chuckle this cycle. Seeing you exceed even your own expectations though was astounding! I loved how serious and somber some of your shots were, and you sold them to me! Just amazing work and I loved every single second! Well this week, very cute and very you. I love the wink and everything is rather good, a bit more zoomed in for my taste, but it still works. Always great to see your wonderful smile puts a smile on my face. Wonderful work this week!
Jester Ehrenfeld:
Such a playful and energetically playful kitty! Seeing you at first, I knew I was in for a good time, and I was not disappointed in the least bit! Every week I knew I’d have such a playful and fun piece with you and it definitely played to your own strengths. Something very charming about the fun you seem to have with your shots and that’s always something every model should remember is to have fun! So, this week’s shot is very cute. I really like the side angled profile you are giving me, very model-esque. I would have like to seen maybe a bit more emotion, just playful smile I might usually see from you would have been very fitting. Regardless just a very cute shot and very much a good shot indeed! Good work this week!
Katarh Mest:
Another ENTM alum, and one I was quite anticipating to bring something fierce! Oh boy was the fierceness brought this cycle! Such a thrilling sight every time your shots came up, always so elegant and gorgeous! Something other worldly about all of your shots during the cycle. Okies, this week was very fun and adorable! I just absolutely love your face paint and hair color. Everything just contrasts so beautifully with each other and that expression, oh yes! Definitely a face of a ENTM model, and well deserving of praise. Beautiful work as always, nice job!
Kimberlynne Highwind:
Such a cute a sweet Miqo’te! Through-out this competition it was such a breath of fresh air to see your shots! I really enjoyed your very sweet and alluring shots. I always enjoyed seeing what you were going to bring next, and it was always such a treat! So, for the week, I really love the sweet and cute look and fit you quite well. I love the purple against your light tone hair and skin, and really compliment you. Good hair choice as well, just really good job. Way to go!
Lior Xanthos:
What a unique presence and sense of adventure! I was so intrigued with you right out the gate, and was always left guessing what was coming next? I loved how you always seem to take risks, and try something new each time. Pushing one’s limits can be a testing yet rewarding thing. For the shot this week, wow! Such emotion and I love it! It really captures you and what you bring. I really enjoyed it a lot, nice job!
Mackayla Lane:
Beautiful and bold, another familiar face with such an eloquence. I expected big things from you this cycle and I was not left disappointed in the least bit! I enjoyed the beauty and grace each of your shots held and was always such a thrill to see! The attention to detail always caught my eye and I loved scoping it all out when I saw it! Well this week’s shot is beautiful and eloquent as always, and I’m very happy for that! You always hold yourself with such grace, and it truly shows here! Just another smashing success!
Nadede Lasalle:
Perky and charming! I really adored every time you were on screen, and you always seemed to enjoy yourself! I was always enamored by what was going on in your shots, and seeing all the nice little details come to life. Great work and especially from someone who is green in ENTM! So for this week, you really shined quite well! I love the lens flare, it’s quite charming. I’d love just a little bit more light on your face, but otherwise just another sweet shot! Well done as always!
Sangriah Valere:
So chic and stylish! Another one that is well versed in the ENTM ways, I always enjoyed your looks and destinations! You always seemed to dress to impress and I was very much impressed! I adore your look and your presence you brought, always just fabulous! As for this week, there is something so beautiful and art like about your shot. It’s so theatre like and very high fashion. Really impressive work this week!
Shayera Tano:
Glamourous and radiant! I could always appreciate the poise and way you held yourself throughout this competition! Always seeming to enjoy each shot and always showing me a new side of yourself and Eorzea! I really just had such a wonderful time when I saw your shots, thank you. And for this week, we have such a strong and suited shot for you! I really love the paint and your glamour. Though I do wish you had left your weapon up, detracts a little from your face, but honestly still a beautiful shot! Wonderful work yet again!
Flare:
Gangly Zilla: I enjoyed seeing what you came up with week after week. I think you had some fun and imaginative shots. Your cosplay of Sakura Haruno was my favorite photo you produced.
Bastien Felicieux: You have a very handsome and unique Elezen. This worked in your favor and you brought us some very sensual shots. Your Dark and Stormy Night shot was my favorite from you.
Sangriah Valere: Not only is your Elezen very beautiful, but you gave us something versatile each and every week. For me, your Week 2: Wicked Ways made me wanting to see what you would come up with next!
Katarh Mest: Girl you are a fierce competitor and a force to be reckoned with! I enjoyed watching you turn those pictures out week after week. The Week 5 Monochromatic picture you submitted was my favorite from you. Simply stunning!
Caimura Rathe: While you are a very adorable Lala, you brought us very fun and serious pictures while staying true to the cute image you Lalafell folks have to keep up with. Your Week 6 Starry Night shot was my favorite from you.
Kimberlynne Highwind: I loved watching you grow week after week and giving us fun and energetic photos. Your Week 6 Starry Night shot was so beautiful and I'm sure filled a lot of people with emotion.
Nadede Lasalle: Another one that i enjoyed seeing week after week. Always gave us something fresh and different. I enjoyed your Week 4 Dark and Stormy Night shot the most.
Lior Xanthos: A cool looking Au Ra that seemed to have a lot of fun in this competition. You grew a lot as the weeks went by and it showed for sure. My favorite from you was the Week 5 Monochromatic. And also, one of my favorites from this whole cycle.
Iris Dawnshade: Iris you made me laugh week after week with your witty and brilliant photos. You Lala always look mischievous and we all love you for it! I enjoyed your Week 6 Starry Night shot the most and felt like it told a nice story.
Mackayla Lane: Since week one you've been a strong contender and I've enjoyed your work week after week. You held my attention and I applaud you for that. I loved your Week 5 Monochromatic shot for being simple yet mesmerizing. One of my favorites from the whole cycle.
Shayera Tano: Even though we mixed you and Sang up a lot, you held your own in this contest and delivered memorable pictures week after week. For me, your Final Shot just shows the strength you have as a model and is a fitting last picture for you!
Jester Ehrenfeld: Another one that got better week after week and never held back. Your pictures had minor details that made them stand out. Your Week 3 Cosplay of Harry Potter was my favorite shot from you.
Each and every one of you should be proud of what you accomplished in just 8 weeks. I enjoyed judging you and all of you surprising me week after week. You didn't make it easy, not by a long shot! I look forward to seeing and hopefully working with you all again in the near future.
For the Veteran Models: Keep on shinning bright!
For the First timers of Cycle 6: WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!

Iris Dawnshade
The topless shot with a cheeky wink gives this an excellent charm. I’d have chosen a different colour for your make-up however, since the light colour gets very washed out by your skin tone and the lighting.
You’ve come a long way Iris, and to me you have always been one of the consistently brilliant models with an excellent track record and I hope this cycle will be your cycle.
Gangly Zilla
That face paint always reminds me of Skyrim. With your pale skin, I would have liked to have seen slightly stronger colours though. Your lips are almost invisible, which makes the smile a slight bit awkward looking. Very charming nonetheless.
Out in the first round in my cycle, but coming back with a vengeance! I think I mentioned before that I often see a certain artless beauty in your shots. You don’t overcomplicate things and try to simply show us the brief. You are the poster child this cycle that less is often more and your consistency in that makes you one of my favourites this time around.
Caimura Rathe
Very thematic and expressive. Only slight – once again - I have for this is the lipstick. Try a bold red for the Egypt look!
When I talk to screenshot beginners I usually say “Lalafells can have a hard time with screenshots because of their size”. You and Iris are the living proof that that can be overcome. Where Gangly shows us an almost shy elegance you show us a bold confidence. You have a knack for strong colours and composition and that was obvious from round one! No matter how this cycle ends, I hope we see more from you!
Katarh Mest
This almost feels like a throwback to ugly pretty, because I came looking at this searching for beauty shots and while I must give props for the consistency of colour composition, it’s a bit too jarring to me to be truly beautiful.
However, you have definitely shown us your experience over this cycle. We have seen your skill in composition, colours and lighting. Looking back at your portfolio I guess sometimes you may have played it a bit too safe, which ultimately did not push you to the top for me. You have the potential for it though!
Mackayla Lane
Very nice shot and glam, but slightly off the brief, considering it was shoulders and up to focus more on your face. This is a medium shot, not a close up.
Similar to Katarh, your performance has been great this cycle. Your biggest challenge I think was lighting, since I do remember sometimes you were so dark you disappeared almost and sometimes you were starting to wash out. You bring great ideas to the table; I hope we see you again!
Sangriah Valere
I have to be frank, the 2 entries with the Mr. Face make-up had me ask Kai if you guys HAD to go with assigned face paint. Personally, for me this face paint belongs on a black naked Roegadyn and it will always be associated with that in my mind. That said it’s a very nice shot with the light tones in stark contrast to the blue background.
You’ve consistently shown us good work and that you have a great feel for composition. In many cases I feel your shots just need a little bit attention to detail, a touch more boldness to get that wow effect (your musical one definitely had that) and you are set to climb into the upper ranks!
Nadede Lasalle
Interesting angle that definitely sets you apart from the rest of the pack! I like the contrasting colours and the play of the light. Great shot!
Your history in my rankings is probably the most odd. You have had shots that were literally across the entire board from excellent to tanking. I think it might be because you are a risk taker alternating with a safe route. Some pictures are rather safe and very in the norm (starry night) and others are very out there, skirting the boundaries of your briefs (musical). Sometimes the risk pays of, sometimes is doesn’t and the safe route tends to put you in the middle field. For some shots seeking a second opinion on the concept and details might be good, at least if you do the shots as contest entry.
Jester Ehrenfeld
The face paint definitely integrates well with your facial markings and the colouring overall works together really well. Sad that you took the optional smile truly as optional, because the blank face does make it a bit hard to find any expression in this picture. Angles and any type of facial expression can liven up a picture a lot!
I think you were probably my favourite underdog in this cycle. I see great potential in your shots and ideas. I think some refinement and you can definitely take on this crowd full force!
Shayera Tano
Definitely out there this pic, glam and make-up wise great job. I am a little put out by the globe, since it is contesting with you for attention and the brief was to keep the focus on you without any distractions.
You have some really good shots and sadly some that were just shooting past the brief. Be careful with that in a competition. On their own they are all still great shots, you do have potential, work at the small details like framing and light! Your final shot shows that you have a sense for it, just needs refinement!
Kimberlynne Highwind
Very cute, though context wise I would have loved to see a different background with this, like the blue sky or maybe even the night sky, ready for some fireworks. While you were supposed to use as blank a background as possible, ultimately even the blankest background adds into the composition.
Looking back at your portfolio, I almost feel you’re where Gangly was back in my cycle. Someone with potential but not enough practice with screenshots yet. Keep practicing, studying past cycles and so on, and I bet we’ll see you back, taking the floor like Gangly did this cycle!
Lior Xanthos
Expression wise definitely one of the front runners this round, though similar to Katarh’s odd colour choice, I find myself troubled finding the “beauty” the brief asked us to look for. You went with a soft purple as colour scheme here and that works well with your pale skin, I think you may have wanted to take advantage of the fact that Au Ra can change their eye ring colour. Pure white may compliment your skin, but is quite jarring, almost scary to look at.
My impression of your shots is that a lot of the time you had quite complex, artistic ideas, but at least to me they tended to fall a bit short on the execution, and often I felt that may have been because of the complexity. I can only reiterate what I said about one of my favourites this cycle: sometimes, less is more.
Bastien Felicieux
Similarly, to Sangriah, I look at the face paint and a burly Roe flashes in my mind… Interestingly you also went with the curtain as background, just as she did. Though where Sangriah went minimalist I am getting a bit confused by your glamour choice. Face & neckpiece are matched colour wise and then it goes into a completely different direction from there.
Looking back at your portfolio I noticed a handful of times where I was a bit confused by your glamour and on other occasions where I felt you missed the brief. Similar to Lior and Kimberlynne I think my best advice I can give is that sometimes, less is more and look to past cycles – especially higher ranking contestants to look for what makes a great composition. Good luck!
