NA account but moving to UK

As the title says, I started playing from the US and I am currently moving around but in the summer I will be settling down in the UK. And so I needed my account region to change, because what else am I supposed to do? Drop my account and start over?

So I contacted support and after a few days they responded with something along the lines of "We're sorry, we can't change your region". And that was it, no further explanation.

Anyway, I wanted to ask if I could still play on the separate EU servers once they come out. Because I already transferred my character to an EU server (Odin) and joined an FC and made quite a few friends. I personally don't care about paying my subscription in $ and/or my account staying NA or not. I just want to be able to play in an appropriate server in relation to my location (which in a month or so will be in the EU region).

Sorry, but as far as I know they won't change the region on someones account even if they move (I've never heard of them doing it anyway!), but this doesn't affect which servers you can play on.

Any account (from any region) can play on all servers, so yes, your NA account can happily play on EU servers (or NA servers or even JP servers if you wanted).

The only thing the account region affects is the billing/gametime which will be billed in USD for a subscription or require NA gamecards (EU won't work). Also it means all expansions (including Heavensward) must be the NA version as well otherwise they won't work with your existing account (everything account wise has to stay NA)

The servers aren't region locked, so You can play on whichever data center you choose regardless of account region.

yes servers are not region locked but you will need to buy a english version aka NA version of the expansion if u want to play it and plus u are lucky going to UK
