New Scholar Attack Spell?

So we know White Mages are getting Aero 3, Stone 3, a move that heals and does damage at the same time, and maybe another damaging move, so in total 3-4 new damaging moves. That means they will have: Aero 1, 2, & 3, Stone 1, 2, & 3, Fluid Aura, Holy, Unnamed Healing/Damaging move, and other possible move, for a total of 9-10 moves, with no cross class skills.

Now all of the new moves shown for Scholar were supportive in nature, so that leaves their move count at: Bio 1 & 2, Miasma 1 & 2, Ruin 1 & 2, and Shadow Flare, for a total of 7 moves, with no cross class skills.

Now while I know Ruin 3 was mentioned for Summoner, we don't know if Scholar will get it as well. Now I wanna know what new damaging moves is Scholar getting, if White Mages are getting 3 new damaging moves? What moves should Scholar get? And should they be Burst Damage like the new moves every job seems to be getting?

Places a buff on party members in range that counts damage taken for 10 seconds and then reflects 10% of the combined damage back at a target enemy. Caps at 9999 in a full party. Caps at 4999 in light party. HEFTY recast.

Yeah having some abilities that call apon their Nymian origins would be cool.

I just feel that, if Whm is getting a few newer damaging spells, Scholar should as well, specifically AoE spells, since besides Bane and Shadow Flare they have nothing. Summoner is getting more AoE utility, hopefully Scholar does as well.

If the pattern for Scholar going to 50 is kept, then any new attack spells they obtain will be the ones attached to Arcanist while every Scholar specific skill will be healing/support. Besides, Scholars need no help in the damage department.

They have stated all new actions are job actions, none for base classes.

Welp, there we go. That same post does mention new "attack magic dedicated to Scholars" though but provides no details. Guess they felt WHM's upgrades were more important to reveal immediately.

SCH is already a fairly potent DPS + Healer combination due to the nature of their design, so I wouldn't be surprised if S-E was trying to curb that to a degree.

With that being said if you look at the skill animations video released, you can see the Scholar using an ability that affects the target at around the 3:21 mark. Whether this is just a debuff or an actual attack is yet to be seen, however.

SCH doesn't really need more attacking abilities what they did do was buff their damage mitigation and give them a proper AoE heal which i think is what they really needed. They have left WHM in the dust when it comes to attacking single targets which is why WHM is getting more of those. WHM mana issues will still exist though as far as i can see they didn't add any new mana regen abilities so in long fights they likely still won't attack as much as a SCH will.

I only see the DoT's changes:
*Spell Speed being adjusted
-Will effect DoT Damage
-Will affect Pets

But not any new attack spell :/ would be nice we can were able to Tri-disaster at least for better burst.

**I d like to know about AST dps as i read in some pages it will be lower than the other healers (because the buffer job). Thats not nice if you want to go solo, help in dungeons to go faster or leveling alone but meh... we are healers arent we? ^^:::

Well the current "sch dps while whm heal" meta will shift soon I believe. WHMs are definitely going to be doing good heals/dps this time around as long as they fix how acc will scale with gear in 3.0.
