WHM Appreciation

I decided to dust my WHM off and keep FCOB fresh by learning how to heal it as the other half, swapping roles with my fellow static healer.

I love my SCH, but I have to admit that WHM is very fun to play in these fights. The raid healing feels very impactful, and your good timing and CD usage is highly rewarded. Farming T13 in particular was a blast.

No real point to this thread except to share the opinion that WHM is a badass Job. That is all.

I feel the same when I switch from WHM to SCH...man the things you learn your partner's been doing this whole time makes it all worth it.

I love hearing the ping! As medica 2 or 1 goes off as its timed with raidwide damage. Or timing ur cures as tank gets pummeled by odin. Its why i love white mage i feel like im bringin the party back from the brink!

WHM is fun to play with a SCH you probably feel you are doing more because of the mitigation and sustained nature of it's skills but WHM can bring a lot of joy. Working alongside a good SCH you can learn a lot about how effective you can be by complimenting what they are doing and you get the burst heals. "Oh no the whole party took 90% damage!" *one divine seal cure III later* "Oh look everyone is 100% HP again!". Regen and Medica II help hugely with spreading heals out to the whole group constantly so you really feel like you are constantly keeping the HP of the group up. And of course Holy is one of the most fun things ever on speed runs. Full blob of enemies all stunned at once while Holy crits cut through them.

That is quite literally one of my favourite things about maining WHM. It's like, "don't worry guys, I got this."

I love being midcast of my cure 2 when I hear the critical health ping and know my heal is going to land perfectly.

Can't argue Turn 13 is the most healing intensive WHM fight in the game, and yet it feels so good!

One of my favorite parts is the transition to phase 3, getting that AoE out to heal the damage from gigaflare, then hustle to the DB stack spot for one Cure III drop, voila you are full everyone, now go avoid the divebombs!

Honestly, after going from occasionally playing as a SCH to leveling my CNJ/WHM, I have nothing but respect for people who play it. I really wasn't fond of playing the class myself because I prefer preventive healing over reactive healing, so after playing as it some, I can understand how stressful playing as such can be, particularly when you're up against hard hitting enemies.......
