    Gil Seller Friend Requests

Not sure if this is the right spot to put this but I'm reallllly tired of getting friend requests from gil sellers.

    2 possible suggestions

1st - At the very least when clicking on the friend request notification and you say "no I don't want to be friends with this person" why do you still need to open up your whole friends list and decline it there? This seems like an extra pointless step.

2nd - Why not just have lvl 1 characters be unable to send friend requests, yet still be able to receive them. That way you can still friend your new buddies who just started playing but the gil spammers can just mass friend everyone.

I still to this day don't know why we have to open up our friends list to completely decline the request.

Though broadening on your 2nd option. How about just not allowing anyone with the new leaf symbol to send friends requests but they can still receive them? We know these spam bots get either deleted or locked down before the 30 days are up for them to have the new leaf symbol automatically removed.

Just get 200 normal people on your friends list. Huzzah, no more RMT friend requests.

This wouldn't stop them. Remember that they use bot programs for their messages AND to powerlevel. Any sort of level minimum would just slow them down. Once. For a couple hours.

Because after 20hrs 40hrs of logged in time that leaf disappears. They don't need to level just stand there spamming shouts/says/tells.

The online status New Adventurer has been added.
Players whose total play time is less than 40 hours will be set to New Adventurer automatically. To change this status, select your character from the Party Members tab of the Social interface, then select the Edit Search Info subcommand.

Its even an old post by me. Still its less than 2 days of constantly being logged in.

I'm also still confused as to why exactly we have to write down a player's name outside of the game, then decline the friend request, then manually put it into the blacklist. Why can't we just add people straight from a friend request to the blacklist?

If you're on PC: once you declined the friend request, that name appears in your chatbox. Right click, black list. Don't know if it works on consoles too.

It's still far from optimal, but I guess it's way better than having to write a weird name down and then type it to add to your blist.

No need to write down name, there's a message in chat log with name when you decline a friend request.
