Will Heavensward Collector's Edition be out on retail?

Hey, guys. Just wanted to know something about Heavensward.
I finally have enough to buy the collector's edition and I wanted to see if there are copies out on retail yet and will there be any before the pre-access date.

I've looked around and, so far, the only store that's selling physical copies of the Heavensward Collector's Edition is the SE Online store, so I'm asking, should I just go ahead and order from the SE store, or wait until one of the retail stores nearby start selling them (I've looked on the Best Buy online store and Gamestop. Both are selling the standard, but not the collector's edition)?

Ive asked all the gamestops in my area if they still had the CE on sale

The ps4 of the CE is sold out on ama, from what I can tell (it's there, but they have the waiting list up) I assume it's the same for PC version too.

there will be a digital upgrade later down the line, my guess is mid august or so. so you can buy the regular edition then upgrade later down the line

They're correct. The game won't be out in retail until the release date unless you pre order it. If you pre order it, you won't get your physical copy until the day of release but they should print you a code on your receipt which will give you can register for early access.

You're supposed to download the client for early access. That is what the code is for.

As someone who works at best buy, I can 100% confirm that you can't order it through there at all - I was hoping to myself because the gamers' club through there would have given 20% off, but no such luck. I finally caved and preordered through Square's official store, because I have a feeling it's going to jump from "coming soon" to "sold out" on the CE without ever going up for sale at all, given that the regular editions are up for sale as normal.
