I am not sure why people would expect to have sole priority on a piece of loot (regardless of how much time they have invested in spamming the encounter) when doing things through a DF. Word to the wise - if you want to have priority over loot, go with a full group of folks you know that will agree on how the loot will be handled. If you are short one person, two or three, do not ever demand the DF participant to not roll on what they need or what they wish to have. Can always ask but do not expect them to say yes. If they say no, then don't give them a hard time about it. It's inappropriate and rude and... dare I say it... Eltistical (I know, no such word - making it up!). You did fine OP!

The ONLY time where you should greed an item is if you join a greed party on PF. DF is fair game.

Now cap is 900... WoD gear will be less needed in next few weeks because you can full equip with Poetic gear.
Healer q is not that long, lost loot you can q and go again in next 5 min.

You're not at fault.
It's simple. You participated in the fight where the gear dropped - it's fair game.
The other healer was just being overly dramatic.
It seems the rest of the raid were also being somewhat overly dramatic - and seems they rooted for the wrong guy.

Quite honestly, if the healer was going to be like that, I'll give you odds they probably would have left after getting or not getting the drop in the first place anyway.

If everybody agrees to it in chat (such as in /party, not in something like teamspeak) it is actually against the rules to steal it and you can be reported for it. This is why sale groups work the way they do (beyond word of mouth that "x group are scammers!").

Except that doesn't work if you're getting people via DF. Even if you queue as a premade group and agree on loot rules, but someone drops out and you replace them with a random from DF, you don't get to dictate your loot rules to them. Well, you can, but they can also tell you to cram it and they'll roll on what they want to.
