Meh. He was just crying super tears because he lost a roll.
Must've been tryna fend for the belt for months! Oooooh well! :'CCCC Waah!
Can't have everything. Seems like a normal run in the game if you ask me!
Carry on about your day.

If you can roll for it just roll for it, if they cry that's there problem
Nah, the other healer was just being a douchenozzle. You're fine. If it's an upgrade, you're completely in the right for needing on it. Even if it isn't, if you can need on it, no one really has the right to pout if you get the piece. I'd pass for someone if it was an upgrade and they informed me. Otherwise, if it's a good glamour piece or an upgrade for an alternative class, I'll need on it.
I believe the other healer had some right to be upset. Look at it from their view. The other healer had put more time and effort into the instance overall than you had at the point, including fighting the unrewarding trash mobs. And ended up spending more time than you did and coming out with nothing.
That being said, they all still overreacted. It's stupid to expect anyone to pass on loot just to be nice in DF, expecting that even if someone hasn't participated at all in a fight is very naive. So in the end, it wasn't your fault. You shouldn't have to pass on all loot after joining in progress anyways. There wouldn't be a point in joining in progress if you were expected to pass all loot. Just saying the other healer had a reason to be annoyed, that's all. Not a good reason to take it out on you so heavily though.

I go into DF expecting a no man's land attitude towards loot.
There's no point in stressing over what you cannot control. (i.e. People whom you have no connections with and likely will never see again)

Should have taken the loot, said "#%@# you guys and #@% your @#*%##* with #%@#!* donkey ##%%@ Argentina with 5 #@!%#" and left the instance.
Now I am more confident in myself in this game, if I come across players like that I exercise my right to leave.

I am not sure why people would expect to have sole priority on a piece of loot (regardless of how much time they have invested in spamming the encounter) when doing things through a DF. Word to the wise - if you want to have priority over loot, go with a full group of folks you know that will agree on how the loot will be handled. If you are short one person, two or three, do not ever demand the DF participant to not roll on what they need or what they wish to have. Can always ask but do not expect them to say yes. If they say no, then don't give them a hard time about it. It's inappropriate and rude and... dare I say it... Eltistical (I know, no such word - making it up!). You did fine OP!
The ONLY time where you should greed an item is if you join a greed party on PF. DF is fair game.
Now cap is 900... WoD gear will be less needed in next few weeks because you can full equip with Poetic gear.
Healer q is not that long, lost loot you can q and go again in next 5 min.

You're not at fault.
It's simple. You participated in the fight where the gear dropped - it's fair game.
The other healer was just being overly dramatic.
It seems the rest of the raid were also being somewhat overly dramatic - and seems they rooted for the wrong guy.
Quite honestly, if the healer was going to be like that, I'll give you odds they probably would have left after getting or not getting the drop in the first place anyway.
