Wow those wings are too huge lol. I am totally imagine a fate grind where most of screen is covered with wings and I can't see the aoe of a boss at all.

Let me elaborate again for you.

Yes, the world is "full of warriors of light". That is a gameplay need. Lore wise, there is only one warrior of light. The one who speaks with Minfilia & co. You.

Of course you are special inside. Incidentally there is nothing physically special about you (unless a tattoo if you are legacy).

But again, for gameplay purposes, the world is packed full of warriors of light.

Having such a huge amount of "special people" running around with stupid things like oversized wings would completely be idiotic. At the moment, the lore implies that YOU are the warrior of light, while ALL THE OTHERS are just "adventurers".

Also yes, I do not like wings and yes, they have no lore behind them.

I dislike wings in the mmos that I've seen them in which includes aion, it feels a little obnoxious to see them and the flying/landing animations always come off a little...funny looking. Not a good kind of funny either, but rather just.. out-right weird. :x

Lore is a moot point, it can be spun by a good storyteller, which SE definitely is. Aion's wings are shown just for example, they kinda large and could be reduced by 50% and still work. And once again wings should be only visible while flying or using an emote to show them.

I love wings. Wings were (literally) my only favorite part of Aion... and the flying limit really sucked, LOL.

I'd love some wings as a "mount". Big, fluffy, white angel wings forever. :3

You can still play Aion if you really want wings. Nobody's stopping you.

But....Aion sucks D: I tried that game for the sole purpose of flying and air combat, and when I was finally granted my wings...the terrible limitations made me quickly uninstall that game.

In the FF franchise "Personal wings" have always been attached to characters of very high power / status. That is, bosses, transcended humans, etc.

Giving wings to the latest Joe McNub would severely diminish their value.

"latest Joe McNub"? We're the frikkin Warriors of Light! Saviors of Eorzea! If this were added, I think it shouldn't be easy to obtain, and I'd hope they look cool!

But no, story wise, there is only ONE warrior or light, and that is you. For gameplay reasons this is hardly possible tho.
Thus, having the world full of "Chosen Ones" would be slightly ridiculous.

Personally I'm not against the idea. I think if done right it would be pretty cool. But I wont whine if it's not added either. I do still miss turning into a bird in WoW....that was one of my favorite aspects of that game...

Um no...this is Final Fantasy, airships and flying creatures make more sense than wings on your character. Will never happen...

Yup Aion sucks, it had alot of potential but failed to deliver. I did love it's wings and being able to fly tho.
