Actually, aerial combat has happened many times, but it was always in the form of mobs attacking airships. Which is something I'd LOVE to see. Fighting in the air, though, like I'm some comic book hero doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

In the FF franchise "Personal wings" have always been attached to characters of very high power / status. That is, bosses, transcended humans, etc.

Giving wings to the latest Joe McNub would severely diminish their value.

For me, no. No wings on characters. There are soooo many free Asian MMOs out there that do wings on characters that it is no longer a novelty. Plus, it doesn't fit in here.

As i mentioned in the other thread, an allagan jetpack would be nice. It fits. Having angel, fairy or demon wings are just so very cliche now

Sorry, I don't want wings in FF14. I don't want this game to look like another Korean MMORPG, not that I hate them but i just don't like their MMO style.
