Yeah I was going to recommend that as well, what L3 defaults to 'Lock On' is awful. I changed L3 to Assist Target since that makes it super fast to target the same target as another player... just hit arrow up or down to select the party member, hit L3, and its done.
Back on the PS3 version before we could remap L3, this was a huge pain in T1 trying to get to whatever platform started glowing which was usually my job, it was frustrating as hell trying to get there fast as possible and L3 did a Lock On which simply kept me from being able to take a single step forwards or backwards in relation to my target. By the time I'd unlocked on it was too late.

The extended Hold functions for the cross bar are life savers to me. Gives you just that many more slots for abilities that you need. It's an amazing feature that I wish other games would take advantage of.
