Early Access codes invalid.

Hello, i currently have preordered FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward Collector´s Edition box for PC from the EU store.
Now i`m reading that the early access codes is redeemable on mogstation.

However, when i try entering the code it keeps giving me that the code is invalid.
My account is under "Region: Europe & Other Regions"

I`ve tried the code you find on http://eu.square-enix.com/en/heavensward-preorder
Aswell as every code i`ve gotten on e-mail, none are working.
Is there a way to fix this issue?

I bought the base game on steam, and the Heavensward CE box(physical) on the online EU store.
Help would be appreciated.

It's not possible to upgrade a base steam account using a non-steam version of Heavensward.

Yeah i read that, and that`s pretty bad from square, but i`ll live with it.

Question is, i don`t want to miss out on my physical stuff so i`m not going to cancel.
But can i purchase the base game on the square enix eu store, not the steam version, and use that instead of the steam version(hopefully this makes sense now)

But if i do this, will i lose my characters?

As i see it now, without losing my physical stuff, nor the in-game bonuses.
I either have to preorder Heavensward on steam, when it is out(Whenever that is?)
Or purchase the base game online outside of steam, but i fear i might lose my characters then, if it`s possible?

I think the only way to retain your characters, as well as both the physical and in-game bonuses, would be to pre-order the digital CE from steam. (Which shows up on steam right now)

Buying the base game again would only get you a new account.

Doesn`t seem like it`s up for preorder yet though, but thanks for answering on my problem.

But i`ll say this, this is some really shitty practise by square enix, feels like people who bought it on steam ends up as second degree costumers or something like that, disappointed.
