The system would come full circle (those who play with others who have been unlucky would boost their own roll for next time), the significant difference from the current and suggested is that outliers and first time luck being less likely. The median would get closer to the average.

Rather than 100, 5, 20, 1, 100. You would get more like 15, 35, 1, 20, 25. Would prefer a tighter band of expectation, I think that is fairer - less of an I and more of a we.

Of course tokens does a bit of both. It just doesn't have much of a random mystery feature.. besides that it works really well though.
