That only shows how serious the situation is. Has been, for quite a while. And how whatever SE is doing does not seem to improve the situation at all; while tons of other options are suggested time and time again, seemingly never even considered for implementation. Yes, it's tiresome seeing this same subject in "2-3 new threads daily", but, well, that's where we are in-game as well.
But that's just the issue, don't you see? They post these numbers every few weeks, yet the situation does not get any better. Bots everywhere, RMT messages / friend requests just as frequent as last week - and sure, one can't hope for that all to be erased, but we haven't even gotten any better means to battle it, save for the rightclick-blacklist thing ages ago. No settings for receiving /tells, no stricter filters, no any other option that's been suggested a million times by a million of us. In fact, RMTs have gotten bold enough to actually create characters with their site names as character names now. What's that say about all the bans then?

No, it just shows how many people want to be a special snowflake and have their own thread about it. What's wrong with using existing threads to talk about it instead of cluttering the forums with a ton of different threads? Spamming the forums to complain about spam ingame is pretty meta. xD
This particular thread has "nothing being done" in the title, so...

Yep. It's what I get tired of seeing. I'm very anti-RMT myself. It destroys game economies, and the market is where I have the most fun in any game. I wish they'd be more effective about it too, but honestly the constant parade of new threads is to the point where the forum spam is almost as bad as the tell spam, and that's saying something. xD

I agree with this person...I just answered a thread about this from 2 months ago. (I just checked the Original Post date)
How hard is it to implement a /tell filter that just no holds barred blacklists these types of tells...and allows non RMT tells? (even blocks a copy/paste if they just came off a banned/blacklisted by player new character and they just say the saaaaame thing, also those 'sellgil' characters adding attempting to add people as a friend too)
I would report, but have no way to report with proof since I play on PS3. (screenshot of Blacklist...with all those 'sellgil' accounts that tried to add me.)[I think they all may be the same person -includes /tell spammers-, because how can a different spammer -character name- know what my character's name is]
Oh lawwwd, what happens when I start up AAR:FFXIV on PC, since I started on PS3? Am I going to have to change my password AGAIN? (about that primary password [not One Time Pass] thing)I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply here. You can't even log in to your own account if you're using a different device than usual, say, a laptop rather than your usual desktop. It won't let you, until you change your password via an e-mail they send. So unless your e-mail account is in the hands of RMT, you could go and TELL them your login information and it wouldn't do jack, they still couldn't steal your account. If they tried to log in with your credentials, you'd get an e-mail about it, change the password to something else, and RMT could twiddle their thumbs.
