DPS corner of Shame

I main healer and picked up a bit of tanking to work on my zodiac.. but DPS? Leveled mine through leves with a friend. One day, we decided to do an ex roulette, but one of my friends wanted to go on healer to get light.. other friend was tanking.. so I went on my rogue.

It was mostly okay, but, when the adds spawned on the other side of the arena in the second boss, I dropped everything to valiantly run across.. straight through the now unmarked aoe, which promptly roasted my ass. My friend didn't get a chance to raise me until right before the boss died, so I had quit a bit of time to feel like a derp on the floor.

So I went to Keepers last night and got in an ok party, but
At the moment we reached Midgarsorm in the middle of the fight I got a phone call D:!

And I have this weird reflex that makes me answer phone calls instantly even if Im doing my business in the bathroom :/

So Im forced to answer and put it on speaker but even so I am forced to stay away from the computer with nothing but an awkward "sry brb". Luckily the issue didnt last more than 1 minute but still felt pretty bad. I was amazed I was still alive when I came back.

The most sad thing of this is that my brain dced for a second there and I threw the comm on the Tank, it was not until a few hours later that I realized I should have thrown that comm on the Healer. FUUUUU!!! >_>

Shame on me.

So here I am in the final boss of DD and the healer and other dps died, so its just me and the tank with boss at 15%ish health left. LB2 pops so I use it, right before it goes off the boss tethers to the crystal and he becomes invincible and targets me with his aoe move. I die because the LB animation.......so we lose that round.....

The next dungeon Tam Tera.... easy dungeon no problems we won but again I use the LB right as the last boss goes invincible......

Moral of the story I shouldnt lb lol

My "corner of shame" moment was also a learning moment for me. I was in t12 as a drg doing bennu phase for one of my very first times and we were down to just two bennus left. We killed the second to last bennu and I followed the last one as we moved it to keep my dps up and to drop its hp a little before I went back to focus on the big bennu after it spawned. As I'm waiting for the last bennu to spawn, I think to myself that there's only going to be two things here left for me to target so I'll just hit tab to switch targets then spineshatter dive over and just go crazy on the big bennu. So big bennu spawns, I hit tab, then instantly press my key for spineshatter. As I hit the button I see that I've tab targeted phoenix and that I'm flying right into a fiery wall of death. My death ended up giving phoenix just one too many stacks and the last flames of rebirth aoe wiped us.

MT on Titan HM, as soon as he jumps for heart phase, I try to properly position myself...
and I walk down the edge of the arena.

I've had more than my share of moments, usually either late at night, or when I'm running a new dungeon for the first time......

I think my biggest derp though was the first time I ran WoD after I had unlocked stoneskin for cross classing. I went to cast it on a part member before the second fight, (you know, that annoying Demon Eye boss who's name I can never remember), and my pet decided to take that as "attack said party member's target immediately". Cue an early pull before half the group was even at the platform. I honestly have no idea how we managed to kill the boss, and even less of an idea on how I managed to avoid blame for the situation. Still, at least it taught me a valuable lesson on the matter.....

on every final turn of each stage of bahamut (so T5, T9, and T13)
as a BLM... I found myself loving my tanks so much that I end up giving them a big hug ! Needless to say that Twintania join us and leave me a big impression... on the ground...
on T9, Nael-chan put her ass on my face... only the tank survive...

So in the end... being a friendly black mage is deadly...
From now on I will hate everyone !

I GOT ONE!

I'm a MNK, you see, and I like my TP. My Shoulder Tackle and Sprint are on the same button, just different hotbars.... SOMETIMES instead of Shoulder Tackling the boss, I uhh, Sprint to it... And immediately use Invigorate.

Although I will say having Sprint for positions is REAAAAAALLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY nice... Ya.

one thing they don't tell you in dragoon school. In t9 your dragon fire and spine shatter jumps put you in FRONT of the boss. Needless to say I died fast
