Reviving this thread for a bit given that 1) I'm bored and 2) its never too late for more shame.

The other day I went with my friends to farm Nidhogg. Somehow I died instantly to the party-wide-AoE shriek he does at the beginning before the trap circles even appeared underneath us on the very first 20 seconds of the fight.

We were all confused over it and my AST friend went through the trouble of resurrecting me and getting me back to health at the cost of his own life (cuz he got cleaved by divebombs right after).

Well, I lived some happy 10 more seconds before another shriek wrecked me.

Turns out that I was wearing all lvl 1 gear but the weapon... problem was that the lvl 1 gear stuff I was wearing were EXACTLY the ones I was glamouring my battle gear with, so I didn't notice it until I actually opened my character window wondering if my gear was broken... and this means I had a body, pants and shoe pieces, but the rest was empty...

That was a good laugh, but man, the shame.

Something similar happened to me in Bismark Extreme a long time ago. I'm in the fight wondering why I was dying so quickly, then someone in my party wondered why I had 5k hp. I hadn't noticed I was wearing my street clothes when I queued up instead of my suit of ARMOR I use for combat. The salt I felt at that moment could've dried up a tank of slugs.

i was in dun skaith as ninja we were fighting the alligator things at the beginning of the raid and i dont know who it was but 1 of the 5 summoners ended up using akh morn i had my camera in a position where my entire screen was covered in white and died to the aoe that the alligators do cause i couldn't see them.

There's an extra dose of shame in here because there are no alligators in Dun Scaith.

I will sometimes repelling shot out of the start of a fight because I plan on bouncing off the entrance wall but it's not sealed off yet and then once I go outside the fight it usually instantly seals off.

yah that place but i have also had the same problem with proto ultima...

The other day I went to play a Trial roulette with my MNK and got Titan HM.

We managed to down it just fine, its just that at the final phase I saw its hp down to something like 15% and no chance for a 2nd bar of LB happening, so I just casted the LB1.
WotL happens to appear right underneath me just as the animation begins, and I'm stepping right where ALL circles converge... all of them...
Damage goes off, I take a 10% off its hp, then I die and see like 8 2k strikes listing on my body...

All I could say was... worth it...

The next day I got again Titan HM, but this time I did remember to not cast the LB before the WotL... however the DRG in the party felt like doing it themselves and died in the exact same way... that was quite the weird sense of deja vu...
