All fast movement skills (Shukuchi, Elusive Jump, Repelling Shot etc), count as you sliding across the ground, so yea, if the AoE goes off as you are moving, then you are in trouble son :P haha.

Recently in a leveling run of Halatali as a bard, I repel shot myself off one of the ledges and into a group of mobs that would have been pulled three sets later, and then had to decide if I wanted to bring them all back to the group with me or let them kill me. I decided that the group was going to all die together.

Was in The Vault (NIN) with a pretty iffy healer - for some reason she never used Medica II/ Regen/ DS, just spammed Cure II on the tank and then lost it when Charibert did his Knights -> Holy Chain -> Heavensflame x2 bit at the end. On our first/ second attempt the tank dies again, and the MNK is running around trying to keep Charibert busy while our healer resurrects the tank. Aha, I think to myself, 'tis time to use my NIN abilities and save the day! So I go to throw Smokebomb on the healer... only to derp in a truly magnificent manner and throw Smokebomb on the MNK and Shadewalker on the WHM, killing us all.

Afterwards:
MNK: We were so close!
Me: Yeah... just don't know what happened there.

Sometimes I do things like that on purpose to troll my friends. Smoke bomb the tank, shade walker the BLM

I'm guilty of using assassinate at the worst possible times and playing chicken with enemy telegraphs while casting on my BLM. I'm very cautious in real life, but tend to live on the edge in-game.

Went to put shadewalker on a tank after we started a pull. Accidentally put it on the healer. I did not notice at first... Apparently trick attack followed by a duality Aeolian edge (already had the combo readied before using trick attack), Dream within a dream, and a kassatsu'd raiton will just stockpile a healer up on the enmity! The tank looked like he was a DPS on the aggro bar! I decided not to out myself on that little mess up... The tank thought it was because of a regen... and I was like, "yeaaaa.... regen..."

I'm a career healer, but I recently started playing Ninja some after taking an extended break from the game. I KNOW fight mechanics, but as healer, I don't always have to really DO anything for them. But I ended up in The Chrysalis from DF and was the only melee DPS. During the tear phase, I completely derped and didn't even touch the Aethereal Tear. Zero damage. Party wiped. Many "WTF?!s" were said. And my profuse apologies. T_T

The second attempt went much better.

One time in T6 I i did a Repelling Shot that threw me centimeters past the entry gate, and it slammed closed immediately after. We were all laughing so hard we wiped in less than a minute.

Went to target and Focus Target him, didn't have WM on and accidentally hit "attack".
