DPS corner of Shame

A couple of choice moments from my career as a MCH:

Pop a Hypercharge and go into a full Wildfire combo. Then realize at the end of the combo that I still had my Bishop Turret out in mana regen mode...

Doing a Wildfire combo in Thordan EX on the Paladin with the Shield buff.

But the crown jewel in my gallery of shame happened during the Conviction Towers in Phase 6 of Thordan EX. Got my tower covered and noticed as Thordan started casting Gaze that I had a Clean Shot proc just sitting there begging to be used. Stupid me thought I could be super cool and get the shot off in time to look away. I was dead wrong and proceeded to get feared into the wall and died, then the rest of the party got paralyzed and wiped. I wanted to just slide out of my chair and hide under my desk for a while. The burden of failure is heavy. The saddest part is I had enough time on the proc to just wait for the gaze...

Whelp, I finally did it. I've elusive jumped to my death. xD
Went into Titan normal via leveling roulette on my hyur DRG alt... it was a group of sprouts, so still new players, except for the tank. The BRD was knocked off, the healer died and the tank was tanking titan in the middle... o.O I had been thinking to myself "You know, I never elusive jump for anything. I wonder if I use it for more things, I can get into the habit of it being more utility for dodging. Bonus: it'll look awesome, doing it ".
Elusive jumped out of WoTL and off the cliff.

Well, on the upside, it was practically a wipe even before I got that bright idea, anyway xD;



Derp two - went into lvl 60 roul last night onMNK... and once or twice I zoned out on a few large mob pulls and just spammed dragonkick -> twinsnakes -> rockbreaker/AoE CDs o_O (rather than alternating to bootshine -> truestrike -> rockbreaker/AoE CDs).
Whelp...at least my buff and debuff were always up? >.>

Have you ever, as a NIN, felt the need to Goad that one BRD or WAR in a speed run to support the AoEing and accidentally threw it in the WHM?

Managed to do a classic Bard mistake and accidently attacked the boss before everyone was ready. (I had the boss targeted and accidently left clicked on him euch)

The DRK in my party was utterly furious about it, they kept calling me stuff once we had reset the boss and started the fight properly. (The other two in the party were super cool about it though.)
The DRK apparently tried to kick me over it.

I felt so utterly ashamed and stupid for doing such a stupid mistake.....

But besides that my entier career as an DPS is a shameful path of constant mistakes, I wasn't really built for that kind of stuff but there's only 3 healer classes soooo.......

I'll put this as a DPS shame because I was DPSing when it happened.

Last night I get the Vault as my leveling, I queued as SCH so I didn't have to wait. Now, take note this was the last thing I needed to do for the night and I was really tired.
But about halfway through the second pull I notice the tank's health going down staggeringly low. I take a moment from casting Broil to be like "wtf is this healer doing they suck so bad"
Ahaha wait
Tank did NOT die, I love Lustrate so much. I told my party and apologized and they rightfully laughed at me.

So I was dpsing as a dragoon and was fighting the last boss in the Stone Vigil dungeon and for some reason I felt it'd be a good idea to limit break the boss 'cause you know, it's my job but as soon as the casting finished, lucky me, the boss decided to begin it's flight patterns right before the cast finishes. Let's just say I tried my best to laugh it off since we still had 20%+ to go on the boss's health and the embarrassment was too real. Luckily, everyone didn't seem to mind.

We go into fight (whichever), everything goes fine. 1 minute ticks on the clock, wait... wasn't I suppossed to unleash a third Geirskogul? LOL! LOLGOON GONNA LOL!
For reals, it's my curse and my shame. I know the rotation back and forth and go into brainless mode to just deal with any dodging or mechanics, that's why I forget the third one XDDDD
Plz, kill me. Or git gud me, that shall do xD

Didn't happen to me, and not so much a derp but, once time I was tanking on Neverreap, and during the final boss with the tornadoes, the DRG that was with me started casting limit break to finish the fight. But then a tornado sneaked up on him and launched him up mid cast.

The funny thing, though, was that the Bard pointed and laughed at him and then stole the LB to finish the boss himself. The healer and I laughed our butts off at the poor guy getting all the glory stolen :'D

So T2 we were about to make our first down 1% of the Boss, Our Sch just Went YAAAY GUYS GG WE DID IT and ... we suddenly died ... He had the rot xDDD

Lesson of the Day : Never raise your arms before the Boss is Dead

I was doing the first relic quest for BLM and when I got to Titan, my brain just shut down. I was doing stuff like Fire III, Ice II, Thunder, Ice III, Transpose, Fire III. Not to mention taking cover behind a bomb.
