I can't remember if it was ST or WoD but its the one with the death aoe that goes on a player, doesn't let them move and kills anyone in the aoe if there are too many people in there. Anyways it gets used and I decide to get out of there by using elusive jump. The only problem is the aoe was on me and I moved it from nicely off on the side to directly on the boss where everyone was dodging towards.
Needless to say we wiped very quickly and noone knew what happened exactly.

This was a few weeks back, I'm on my first duty run as a monk. We get to the final boss and the tank tells me to use Limit Break. I don't have it on my action bar so I quickly search through my abilities, find it, then accidently use it on a mob rather than the boss. Ultimate derp moment. I have not been that embarrassed in a long time. Doh.

I have another. Not sure if it classify as a shame or derp:

Thorndan Extreme; found myself constantly joining learning groups as NIN. Most of the times, there are people there who I been learning with. I know how to avoid the charges. In one battle, one of the members designated me as the person to stack on. The ENTIRE group stacked on me each time, and each time they did, we all die.

I started leveling MCH today. Read my skills, bought some equipment, etc., then queued for low lvl roulette.
It was a horrible and slow run with a pre-WHM healer who's heals were so incredibly weak that even 2 monsters were too much and ultimately killed the tank in a slow and painful way.
Turns out she was half-naked and she hadn't put any points into Mind (or any stat, for that matter), either.
Throughout the whole dungeon I kept on explaining and telling her how that was a problem and the reason why we kept dying. But since it was a low lvl dungeon I was patient and stuck with the party.

In front of the final boss room I got the urge to change my title while waiting for the others to finish watching the cutscene, brought up the character menu....and realized I hadn't spent even one single stat point yet myself. And I was wearing crafter equipment in several slots, so...I was about the last person to preach about those things..xD

New on the boards and to FF14 in general but I already have a story. ^^;

First time in Cutter's Cry I was trying to dodge that toad jump aoe and dodged it, by falling right off the edge. Not to mention I've derped and elusive jumped my butt off the Titan platform in both HM and EX.

Same thing happened to me in Darkhold. You also answered a question I've long wondered but never wanted to attempt: would elusive jump spend you jumping to your death in Titan fights. So... thank you for your sacrifice. >.>

Having recently switched from WHM to MCH I have completely forgotten that in A1 adds must be killed under the bombs - as it was usually just annoyance hitting my face till dps got em.

So I shot the adds, feeling great about my support of healers, dragged them away from the pointers and... wiped.

After this I was suggested that adds died too close to the bombs, which of course I took seriously, and were it not for clear I would have been certainly kicked. Thanks for the advice btw.

Now I am farming it to fend off my inner noob, but the shame is really sticky.

I just decided to try SMN for few quick runs in A4N as I never used it there, and let be known I like to use my pletora of useful skills.

I would never have imagined thought that the Manipulator--it's a huge metal and for sure pretty heavy machine, right?- could suffer the knock back from Garuda's Shockwave.. and so I did: I shockwaved the whole thing back into the corner of the arena, like a punished child.

Was pretty shocking, I was even asking sorry to the party "WTF" "What happened?!" etc comments but I was laughing to tears as well. Garuda is so powerful, more than what I knew for sure.

That's actually a bug that got introduced with 3.1 Hopefully today's maintenance fixes it. Between that, fluid aura, and blank I've seen him knocked back in like 50% of my a4n runs.

Once I was showing how to dodge divebombs on t5 to a learning party and I accidentally touched the flare wall lol it was too embarrasing >.<
