We'll be addressing drag and drop along with the upcoming action bar adjustments. In the future we are planning on making various adjustments and we are looking into additional features such as increasing the amount of actions displayed and being able to set items and macros directly on the bar.

You are correct, this has been addressed and is coming. I for one am very excited.

Not a viable solution. I'm not going to make a macro for every consumable item in the game.

I use several different types of food and i agree...making macros for every single one seems like a hassle X.x

Yep. As a pad player this has been one of the most confusing things to me. Why has there not been a way of accessing the item use menu with a controller natively?

If people don't already use such applications, I recommend using joy to key as a temporary workaround until this issue is finally resolved.
