AST card dont have effect on AST?

Hi, anyone can confirm this? I read on reddit that cards effect (ie 20% recast time) applies to all the party members except yourself?

Based on the action video to me it looks pretty clear that the card effect can be applied to the caster.

Seems really weird that such a huge mechanic wouldn't be used at all in solo play.

I get why Ninjas can't Goad themselves, you want to incentivize supporting your party. Same with Arcanists and E4E, the point is either to support your tank or use a pet to tank while you're soloing.

But the cards (do they have a global name, like Phantom Roll for Corsairs in XI?) are more than just one buff every three minutes. It'd be really disappointing to not have them in solo play.

In one of the recent articles it was mentioned that AST effects are targeted unless used with Royal Road... I thought I remembered something about how it acts with a monster or no target but I can't seem to find that again so I'm not sure if it's possible for an effect to apply only to the caster.

i remember turning the PCgamesN guy's stream he said he tried to use the bole card on a mob(since he thought the in game text was wrong before asking the QA staff) and the debuff ended up on him instead

Only 2 become aoe when Royal Roaded. Two others gain increased potency, and the last 2 become increased duration. SO the majority of AST card buffs are always single target. If you try and cast it on an invalid target you will cast it on yourself. I got this from a twitch stream but the VOD has been removed

One more question. Does anyone knows if the card: "10% Increased Attack Damage" affects to magic damage too? And the "10% Increased Attack Speed" card wont give spell speed? I think we will be a pain if our party are full of casters lol...

It's obviously working for both melee and caster Arcana ^^ Would be dumb otherwise
