Average DPS and Healing Based on Item Level

I'm just curious if there's a decent list out there somewhere for what should be considered the "average" a player should be doing at certain item levels, (increments of 10 perhaps?), in terms of certain roles. I tried looking around the internet, and what little information I found was mostly for T6-12 players....

When I say "average", I'm meaning what can generally be expected out of a player. Not the average of an elitist hardcore player who rages if a bard isn't using the exact song they want, but also not the average of a black mage who only uses blizzard either. I'm wanting the middle ground you might see from your standard players who just play to enjoy the game and be around friends. A range, (ex: 200-250), is also acceptable rather than a singular number......

Also, I'm looking to both healing roles and DPS roles on this, just because I want to see how my stats stack up with each class I'm leveling as I'm leveling it, so I know if I need to improve, or if I'm doing well enough to get by.....

It depends not only on gear level, but also on fight you are doing.

Don't discount the sub-stats, either. Determination and Crit can impact your totals almost as much as the difference in main stat between the iL levels. And anyone seriously gearing up will be taking the sub-stats into account every bit as much as they do iL.

Also, you need to define "average" a little bit better. 15% of players or less on each server have cleared Final Coil, so assume we have a 30% hardcore/midcore playerbase. This means the "average" player is a more casual player who most likely does not fully utilize their rotations well and puts out far sub-optimal DPS for their class, and thus would be considered "bad" by efficiency standards, let alone player opinions. Sure, some of the more casual people still learn how to play their job quite well and put up respectable numbers, but this territory of "average player DPS based on class" is just asking for a flame war.

A better question to ask is "What is a DPS range based on ilvl for a competent/decent person to put out on a regular basis?" which is slightly different than the hardcore question of "How much DPS can a class push at certain ilvls?" though one might try and give answers for the latter to the former with black/white justification.

Dunno what website has numbers for healer DPS. I'm sure there are ones out there though. If that's what you're asking for? If you're asking for HPS then I have no numbers for you, because that's imo pointless to track. IMO healers with extremely high HPS tend to be bad, in any MMO. I don't even keep track of EHPS, because my healer partner and I do the exact same thing each pull, once we know what we are doing. If someone makes a mistake or dies, we have how we deal with it already planned. For example, I get first res, I top him off, etc.

I'm always at at least 100 DPS by the end of every coil turn as SCH, according to a raid member. I compete with the tanks DPS, but never beat them out at the end cus of course they're on the boss more. I do the most DPS in t12. I spike around 500 I think it was(I don't remember, but it was pretty up there)? At the start, since I DPS the first and second phase, take care of blackfires by myself and do all blue/redfires. I don't know what people consider me to be, hardcore, midcore, whatever. I'm just throwing out my numbers to try to help.

Edit: I got these numbers before ilv130 BiS...so it was around ilv120-130 non-BiS? The day I got all my BiS we stopped raiding final coil. My groups waiting for the expansion now.

On the healer, I more or less meant what is an average heal at each level....

As for the DPS info you provided, I'd say that' useful for an idea at that item level. I also would consider you in more of the "Hardcore" area since when I'm talking about average, I'm meaning more of the players who run WoD as the highest level raid, and will probably run all the dungeons......

Of the three roles, gear honestly matters the least for healers. Tanks and DPS benefit tremendously from keeping their weapons top of the line; healers can do fine with a weapon that's a bit less, because if you want to be safe, you're overhealing some anyway. What's more important for healers is to know all of the tools they have at their disposal, how to best use them, and pay attention.

If you're just curious how big your heals will be though, then play around with this:

For DPS in non-Coils... honestly, people get by fine with 100-200. You have people afk-autoattacking and clearing that way.
And then you have the couple of people doing 400-500 to balance things. Against a single-target, at least. Depending on mob size, and how well they're stacked / how well tanks hold aggro, you can see some AoE classes spike over 1-2k.

Item level is a HORRIBLE way to measure dps firstly. Secondly, some persons opinions may change depending on their battle experience.

There's no such thing as an 'average amount of healing'.

Either people stay alive or they don't.
