That said, what they could do is color the HP meter with the amount of HP left on the shield, eg a green fill for the Aldoquium and a grey/brown fill for stoneskin that is shown at the end of the HP bar as a % "on top" of the remaining HP.

so this.... 9999/9999 before adlo would look like this... 10998/9999 after adlo? cuz I can agree to this.

Stoneskin I think should be as is since its a shield and not an actual heal

I prefer the first image but having the option for more than one is a nice way to cover bases of people who want their information in different ways. As for 'guestimating' numbers, I mean clearly the game tracks this itself somehow. The game knows how much damage you take and when your shield breaks.

Also just because it took a long time for WoW to do it themselves I do not see as an excuse. If anything the fact that it has already been done is proof that it should happen. The concept isn't as new anymore, and basically all wow has been doing with UI updates the past long wile now has been taking the most popular addon features people already used and made them baseline. This further reinforces the general idea that you should not need an addon, the game should handle that itself. Being able to mouse over a galvanize/stoneskin icon and see the amount of shield left would be great too.

That being said I don't expect a change like this to happen overnight, this takes time. However getting this put into the queue for 'things happening' would be a great thing.

I don't really expect it to happen till heavens ward has been out for a bit if at all. But it does seem silly to me that we just get a shield icon. I don't stare at my heal numbers as a scholar all the time. I dps alot and quite often I'm not staring at the tank. Idk if my shield crit if it's regular whether he took a crit hit etc. And like I said before it's not like it's a game breaking thing for it not to be there, it just seems like such a useful thing to have.

In the AST thread I made I have info that I took from the wiki. Not reliable by any means but it does say AST will have shields. I doubt they'd stack with SCH though as the AST supposedly has a healing stance and a shielding stance.

Astrologian will be able to switch between a healer stance and a barrier stance (moon reader and star reader) thus being able to act similar to whm in a party with a sch, and similar to a sch when in a party with a whm. The ability to switch stances will be limited somehow (speculated by cooldown). In addition they will have a random buff mechanic with the cards- you can draw a card and either use the buff right then or hold on to it to make the next random buff stronger.
